Stride out from the cottage to enjoy walks in the Black Mountains and through the Usk Valley, before heading into Crickhowell (6 miles) to refuel in a friendly pub or cosy cafe.

The 17th-century property is decorated and furnished in a traditional style, to complement the cottage’s original features. After a long walk, sink into the sofa or curl up in the armchair in the lounge to watch TV or read a book in the warmth of the wood burner-effect electric fire. From here, head through to the kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up hearty meals to enjoy together at the wooden dining table. A contemporary bathroom completes the ground floor.
