    About this property

This holiday cottage is ideal for a couple who wish to explore the delights of the Pembrokeshire Coast.
Shared 17-acre grounds with woodland walks. Lying peacefully down a quiet country lane between the bustling coastal resorts of Pendine and Amroth, these traditional Welsh barns (refs 29463, 30251, 30252, 30521 and 30522) have been restored to a very good standard and make a perfect touring base for couples or families looking for a seaside getaway. Situated on a small holding complex with a small farm shop on-site, the former barns dating back to the 18th century retain much of their original charm and character, with each room having comfortable furnishings and amenities for that unforgettable holiday experience. Coastal Wood Holidays received the highest accolade of Gold at the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards, as awarded by the Tourism Asociation. These properties are nestled between Amroth beach and Pendine Sands in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park, with 17 acres of natural grounds and woodland walks, which lead to the spectacular coastal path, where guests can discover the hidden Horseshoe Coves and unblemished tranquil beaches dotted along the coast. The charming village of Amroth is close by, posing a selection of traditional pubs, restaurants, cafes and a sandy beach. Just a stone’s throw away are the picturesque harbour towns of Saundersfoot and Tenby, offering an array of boutique gift shops, art galleries and restaurants with freshly caught fish always on the menu. Explore the off-shore island of Caldey and share the serenity and tranquillity of the Cistercian monks, or take a sea safari along the dramatic coast, cruising close to sea birds, seals and the occasional dolphin. Away from the coast, the rolling countryside is just as promising with its array of traditional market towns dotted around the country including Narberth and Haverfordwest as well as the numerous enchanted sites including Pembroke and Carew Castles. Visit Oakwood, Folly Farm and Bluestone for action packed day out. Dairy Cottage (30523) and The Buttery (30522) have an interconnecting door and can be booked together to sleep 8. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

"The Nook was larger than we expected and contained everything we need to enjoy a quiet week away with our dogs. Plenty of places to exercise them on site or on nearby Amroth beach. Both dogs loved lying in front of the pot bellied stove! We will definitely book again"

"The only problem with the accommodation was the fiendishly low beams in the bedroom which meant you couldn't stand up and had to crawl in and out of the bed. Don't visit if you have mobility problems. The bathroom is a long way from the bedroom - down the stairs - across the kitchen and hall."
    Bev ‐ 29 Sep 2018
"The bedroom is described as low but the photo is misleading as the beam is nearly at the foot of the bed and is 37inch high, the top of the bed is 19 inch high making you wriggle through 18 inch (I measured it) or crawl up the side of the bed. If you are tall you have to make the bed knelt down. And I'm agile. Had I have known all this I would not have booked."

"Excellent cottage, well laid out with everything you need. The owners are very helpful, you only have to ask and they will help if they are able. When we arrived at the cottage there was a cake stand filled with home made welsh cakes and Bara-Brith which i thought was a lovely thing to do. There are plenty of places to visit but in my opinion you do need your own transport to get around, because you need it to access some of the more dinstinctive places, but if you prefer the peace and quiet of the Welsh country side then this is the place to be, and one other thing they do have a lovely play are for the children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nook, visiting the sites by day and relaxing by night."

"Really nice place to stay, really nice cottage and the facilities on site are really good."

"The cottage was lovely and clean, with lots of nice little touches, daffodils and Welsh cakes to welcome us and milk in the fridge, along with a blanket for our dog. Amenities in the area were a bit farther than a stroll and you would need a car to get to shops or pubs. The cottage though had nice dog walks around it and the owners had made an effort to accommodate pets. Lovely dog friendly beaches within a short drive."

"Beautiful little cottage, very comforting, very clean and allows you to relax completely. Just mind out for the beams in the bedroom when opening those windows! The owners have been very thoughtful in the design and presentation of this cottage and it provided us with a wonderful stay, we would be very keen to return! The pebal peach is only a 5 minute drive and is gorgeous when the sun is out. A great location for visiting different towns; Saundersfoot and Tenby."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the nook. It was nice to come back from a cold, brisk walk on a coastal path to a lovely warm cottage and not have to wait for the heating to switch on. Plenty of hot water and a lovely big size bath allowing a lovely soak to melt away the muscle pains. Although we didn't need to buy any provisions as I had already booked a Tesco delivery, it was nice to see a vast range of provisions in the wood store - a really great idea. We didn't meet Abi whilst we were there but Lee was very friendly, helpful and a genuinely nice guy. It was great to re-visit old haunts, Amroth being one of our favourite beaches and have been for the last 15 years. Bosherton lily ponds, Laugharne, Tenby again bringing back great memories. The only downside is that now these places are getting more commercialised parking charges have grown and you didn't used to have to pay for a toilet. The 'litter grabbers' are a great idea as is 'free doggy bags'. it was nice to see that a lot of stiles have been substituted for gates which is brilliant if you have a large or giant dog. When we come back to Amroth we will definitely look at re-booking the Nook. It was very dog friendly and with friendly hosts what more do you want?"
