About this property

Immerse yourself in this substantial former rectory, S57465 dates back to 1929 and is situated on the edge of Ludchurch, a small hamlet in the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside. This homely detached rectory is located on an ancient pilgrimage route, which originally led to St David’s Cathedral, and is a perfect getaway for all your family. Looking out across the meadow, you will see the very standing stone from which S57465 takes its name.
S57465 has been lovingly refurbished and has been furnished to a good standard throughout. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset from your south/west facing conservatory room, and after a day of sightseeing, you can curl up in front of the wood burner in the cosy living room, whilst your children enjoy a DVD in the second living room! Pembrokeshire hosts the gruelling ’Iron Man Wales’ and the route passes the doorstep of S57465.

The hamlet of Ludchurch is perfectly positioned just 2 miles from the Pembrokeshire coast, and after a 5-minute drive, there’s a plethora of beaches to choose from, including Wiseman’s Bridge and Amroth, with Saundersfoot, Coppet Hall and Tenby being a short drive along the coast. You may prefer to visit Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, or for those rainy days, The Blue Lagoon water park is not to be missed, complete with a ’lazy river’. The old market town of Narberth is just a 10-minute drive where you can find independent shops, restaurants, tea rooms and boutiques, and the Queens Hall where craft fairs, exhibitions and evening events are held throughout the year. S57465 is ideal for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and its 186 miles of rugged and sublime coastline is waiting to be explored. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles (seasonal shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards).

"We had a great half term family holiday at S57465. It is a fantastic house, very spacious but feels very homely and cosy. It has everything you could possibly need. It is close to many attractions and is a perfect base for a holiday in Pembrokeshire. We will be back :-)"
Anthony ‐ 14 Sep 2018

"By far the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Amazing location and the owners are lovely. My 4 year old asked if we could stay forever"
Alpesh ‐ 2 Apr 2018
"Our holiday experience was amazing. Mr Shaw and his son were so kind very helpful words cannot describe how lovely they were. I would recommend this cottage/house to anyone who would like to get away. The caravan park walking distance away was a great night out and fun. Overall fantastic and lovely place to stay. Enjoyed every moment nothing bad to say at all."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at S57465 over the new year. The cottage was absolutely amazing with everything you could possibly need for your stay, and it was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be returning here in the summer 👍🏻"

"We enjoyed our stay."

"With a 6ft 3" man a divan bed would have enabled him to put his feet out, very confined in the brass bedstead beds. Otherwise we could not have asked for more."

"Our second stay at S57465 was just as amazing as the first. When we arrived this year it felt like we were 'home' and we was greeted again by Allen who's hospitality was second to none, as usual. We cannot praise the owner or the property highly enough, everything about our holiday was quite simply FIRST CLASS with a cherry on the top! You couldn't possibly ask for anything more."
Sarah ‐ 24 Jul 2017
"My family and I had the most wonderful time at this beautiful house! Absolutely spotlessly clean, pure comfort, oozing warmth and tranquility. Spacious enough for all of us. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need.Allan, the owner greeted us at the property. He provided us with a very warm welcome as well as all the information we could possibly need for our stay. Very helpful. The beautiful and well kept garden was huge, packed with amazing shrubbery, plants, flowers, vegetable garden and a wildlife! My small grandson loved the open space to play in where he was safe and happy. There was an abundance of garden furniture and barbecue! We spent a lot of time in the garden. The location was excellent with beautiful beaches only a few miles away. We all particularly enjoyed Folly Farm, which isn't just a farm! Saundersfoot beach was amazing! We would have no hesitation in recommending S57465 and hope to be returning again next year! Thank you again Allan. Sarah and family"

"We had a wonderful stay, the pictures do not do justice to the amount of space and room you have, especially the garden and patio area. The children loved the garden. The manse is ideally situated for all local attractions and beaches. We were warmly met by Alan the owner, who fully explained everything we needed to know, while the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you require, including a much appreciated welcome pack. We certainly intend to return soon. All in all a really good holiday accommodation, you will not be disappointed."

"Absolutely Beautiful!.......it's easy to see why S57465 is so highly thought of. The well kept grounds of the property have stunning views where you can relax come any season. Ideal for families or even couples wanting a romantic break away. We were four generations of family in our group and this wonderful house was perfect for us all. My son who is 2yrs old was in his element with so much space to explore and play with his toys. Very clean and comfortable rooms with lovely decor throughout. Beaches, restaurants, folly farm, to name a few of fun things to do and all within close proximity. S57465 certainly exceeded our expectation and we will definitely be returning next year."

"Superb property with every conceivable piece of equipment you could need. Beautifully presented with loads of room. Lovely gardens if you just want to lounge, lots of garden furniture, and a great summerhouse for kids to play in. Excellent location close to the coast and what a brilliant coast Pembrokeshire has. So many highlights; Aberporth, St Davids, Whitesands Bay, Amroth, Saundersfoot just to name a few and many more little coves to explore. An o/s map will be very useful. Inland, Narberth is very close and has great shops, cafes and restaurants. And to top it all lovely owners who couldn't have been more helpful, to the extent that when this technophobe struggled with the tele, the owner Andy offered to drive all the way from his home to help out. He didn't need to and we did sort it out in the end, but these are the little things that make you want to go back. Finally a great welcome pack awaited us full of local produce. A great touch. A really enjoyable holiday and we will go back."

"Overall:We had a fantastic stay at S57465, we spent a lot of time enjoying the garden in the sunshine. It's so peaceful and calm. There is an abundance of wildlife, rabbits, birds, even a naughty mole leaving mole hills! We had our 18 month old toddler with us and he was perfectly safe at S57465. It is minutes from the beach, local towns and villages. My favourite element is the beautiful well established herb garden - it just demonstrates that the owners have really thought of everything to make your stay as perfect as possible!Comfort & Equipment:S57465 has everything you will need from corkscrews to cironella candles, a BBQ and plastic picnic ware. There are books, games, DVD's... the list goes on. Strong Wi-Fi signal throughout the property and garden. Enough for multiple devices to be connected. Very through welcome pack which details everything you will need to know about the property and local amenities. Extensive garden furniture to recline on and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Beautifully laid out and furnished to a very high standard, with ample space for everyone. There is a baby gate if necessary and a great travel cot.Location:The location is just perfect for exploring the beautiful coastline, Wiseman's Bridge, Saundersfoot and Tenby are a short drive away. Easy to find and local roads are all well sign posted. When at S57465 you feel as if you are in the middle of the countryside, but perfect white sandy beaches are moments away. The best of both worlds.Cleanliness:The property was very clean throughout. The garden is well maintained. No complaints here either!Local Amenities:We would thoroughly recommend a trip to Narberth, a beautiful old-welsh type town. The butchers there, Andrew Rees & Son's Ltd sell the best sausages we have ever eaten -It is worth a trip from Kent to Narberth just for that! There is a very popular Fish and Chip shop in the local village of Kilgetty, again just minutes from S57465. There is a Co-Op in Kilgetty as well for essentials once you arrive.Value for Money:A break at S57465 represents great value for money. Everything you need is there or within a short distance. We will definitely be booking a return trip!"

"An unforgettable weekend at @S57465 01 May 2017The house was astonishingly beautiful! Great hose and great location. House was full of character, extremely well equipped in every corner and very comfortable with some very lovely touches. My 4 year daughter loved the outdoor space in spacious garden where she enjoyed watching rabbits and birds chitter chatter. Allen and Danial were great host & extremely helpful from the day we made the booking. On the day of arrival Allen personally greeted us and as we were running slightly late(40 mins) He kindly lit the fire and the house was warm and cozy when we walked in! There was also a welcome box full of marmalade, welsh cakes and greeting card for us.Me and my friends loved the music collection and enjoyed listening it near the fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped and could easily serve well for a large family of 10-15 people. The hygiene level in the house was 10/10.The game room was another go to place, it had a pS4 with latest games to enjoy and on one rainy day we enjoyed the PS4.Great host’s and lovely house, thanks for everything and it was an amazing stay.Raj Mohite"

"We had a great time here at this absolutely beautiful cohouse. The house was clean, comfortable and welcoming. plenty of space, plenty of room and furniture extremely comfortable. The owners have done everything they possibly could to ensure we had a really good holiday. There was a very thoughtful welcome pack n welcome card. The beautiful landscaped gardens were such a pleasure we sat in the conservatory every day n watched the many varities of garden birds fly to n fro. We loved the place so much we hardly left it. With 3 generations of family we were glad of the 3 bathrooms, each having their own shower. teenaged grand daughter took the cwtch over, we hardly saw her except at meal times. Alan, the owner, gave us good advice as to the best fish shops around etc n we found the co op i. kilgetty well stocked for our needs. This beautiful house in peaceful surroundings was everything we needed and wd will definately be returning."
patrick ‐ 14 Apr 2017
"This was a lovely place to stay, maintained to a very high standard. The kitchen was very generously provisioned with a spacious "working area". The owner and his son were so helpful and informative during the process. Nothing was too much trouble. A generous Easter egg package was left for all 5 of us, another nice touch. We strongly recommend S57465 for a family who like spacious living and great facilities. Even the kids were able to utilise a separate "play lounge" area with videos games and more. Very difficult to be under each other's feet in this house! Nice!!We fully intend to return for another stay in the future and thank the owners for all the attention to detail that any discerning customers like us would appreciate. Top notch!"
Pauline ‐ 31 Mar 2017
"A really great house plenty of space even for 8 people, very well equipped kitchen and dining room.lovely outside space with lots of seating (although too cold for us to use this)Very comfortable lounge a huge space also would be good for families with children"
Jon
"As part of a group of 8, we had a wonderful time seeing in the new year at S57465. The property is lovely and is fully stocked with all of the equipment you could ever require in a home from home. We were a group of 8 adults and there was plenty of space for everybody. The location is good and gives a sense of getting away from it all whilst still being very close to numerous beaches and the lovely town of Tenby. We all agreed that we would most definitely stay there again. The owners were also brilliant at being very flexible with arrival and departure arrangements. They were also excellent at providing useful local information which helped ensure we made the most of our stay."
Karen
"As a family we holiday on average 3 times a year to Amroth, Tenby, Saundersfoot and the surrounding areas. We have a good knowledge of holiday lettings that are available and I can say this is the best we have stayed in. The house ticks all the boxes. I have two special needs children who like there own space and S57465 provides that both inside with the wonderful second living room and the beautifully kept patio and gardens. The kitchen is fantastically equipped with everything you could need. Throughout the property the decor is lovely, modern shabby chic. It has a wonderful homely feel throughout. The owner was also extremely welcoming and friendly. All round a fantastic holiday and already booked for next year"
Lesley
"Wow, what an amazing place to stay for a holiday. Firstly a lovely greeting from the owners who were very friendly/accommodating and kind enough to leave a delicious welcoming treat! The cottage was absolutely gorgeous - very spacious, exceptionally clean and well equipped - definitely a home from home. The Cwtch was a real treat for the children, they loved it. It's also a fantastic location, quiet and peaceful yet close to plenty of beautiful beaches and towns. I could not recommend this property highly enough, it's by far the best we have ever stayed in."
Judith
