Outside, you can sit in the decked veranda and listen to the babble of the stream and series of small cascading waterfalls, or take the steps down to the stream and sit and watch the stream swirl in the pools and under the bridge. The small hamlet of Star is surrounded by the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside with footpaths criss-crossing the area. Newcastle Emlyn is a thriving working market town, on the River Teifi, and nearby Cenarth, with its fabulous falls, is renowned for fishing. You are ideally placed to explore the wonderful coastline of Cardigan Bay with nearby sandy beaches such as Poppit Sands, Mwnt or Aberporth. The area offers numerous outdoor activities such as wildlife spotting at The Teifi Marshes Nature reserve, just outside the popular market town of Cardigan. Cardigan Bay offers dolphin spotting boat trips, fishing and adventure sports, such as coasteering, as well as being a short drive from the beautiful Preselli Hills, the Wales Coastal Path and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Slightly further afield, to the north you will find the popular harbour town of Aberaeron with its pretty multi-coloured harbourside houses, together with the National Trust property of Llanerchaeron close by. To the south why not take a trip to the pretty town of Narberth, renowned for its boutique style shopping and a just a little further down the coast opens up the stunning South Wales beaches at the impressive seaside town of Tenby.
