Bowness-on-Windermere offers all you could need and more for a memorable self-catered stay; take a trip to one of the local shops to pick up some picnic essentials before sitting beside the scenic waters of Lake Windermere, or indulge in a hearty lunch on one of the many waterside eateries, taking your pick from pubs, cafés and restaurants catering to a variety of tastes.     The parking permit was a great help. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the shower was brilliant. We also loved having a real fire. We found the beds too soft.
