We have two girls ages 8 and 4 who thoroughly enjoyed their time here. The property itself is lovely, well appointed, has everything you need and the animals are also amazing (especially Cwtch the dog) but by far the biggest attribute are the family who run it. Very kind and down to earth people who were very happy to let our children be involved in the farm as much or as little as they liked, even when their help may have made things take a little longer. The girls had an amazing time and both said afterwards that their favourite part of the holiday (even above the local theme park) was feeding the animals. The local area has loads of things to do and it really is a great base for exploring too. Thanks Lavinia and Martin for a brilliant stay :-)

The thing that stands this cottage out over and above everywhere else we have ever stayed is the animals, especially Cwtch the dog and the owners. I had noticed this had a small fishing lake which was of special interest to my son & husband. They spent many many hours down there fishing and enjoyed the sounds and calmness of this part of Wales. The owners are the most lovely people who exudes a warmth towards you like friends rather than landlords. They are both highly skilled interesting people with a passion for animals and living a calm, wholesome and relaxed life. I could stand and talk to either of them for hours. We loved the freedom that we were allowed to pet the animals, fish and enjoy the surroundings. Away from the cottage, this is superbly located for all areas of South Wales being around 45 mins from most places. We especially loved Carew Castle for the dam wall crabbing, St Govans Chapel near Bosherton (a interesting hike through a live firing range and then a climb down the cliffs) and Saundersfoot (fishing for mackeral off the harbour wall). If only I hadn't already booked a holiday for next Spring then we would be back here like a shot. We'll see you again soon x
