Y Bwthyn in Caernarfon is a highly praised cottage, celebrated for its spaciousness, stunning views, and cosy atmosphere. Guests consistently commend the property's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and the thoughtful touches provided by the welcoming owners. Its location is ideal for exploring North Wales, with easy access to both mountains and coast. The enclosed garden is a hit with pet owners, and the cottage's amenities, including a wood-burning stove and well-equipped kitchen, contribute to a delightful stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it was maintained to a high standard, spotless, and very clean, which is particularly important in the current climate.

The location is frequently described as wonderful, with spectacular views and convenient access to local attractions, towns, and natural beauty spots. Its proximity to both the sea and the mountains of Snowdonia is a significant plus.

Comfort is a standout feature, with guests finding the cottage cosy and the furniture, including sofas and beds, very comfortable. The presence of a wood-burning stove adds to the cosy atmosphere.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and utility room. However, there are mentions of limited hot water for baths and a need for mattress replacement, suggesting some room for improvement.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful gestures such as a welcome cake and organic tea and coffee. While these gifts enhance the experience, it is noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.

We enjoyed a very peaceful week with fantastic views.

There were 6 of us in total, 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs and we found it to be a lovely cottage for our week away. The lobby area is a dream for wet dogs/boots/clothes and the views across the valley down towards the Menai Straights are gorgeous. The house was clean, comfortable and in an ideal location. The owners were friendly and gave us great tips for walks with a four year old! It was peaceful at night and relaxing. Everyone felt refreshed after our week stay.
