About this property

Gwylfa is a lovely, bright and spacious terraced cottage, just a 15-minute stroll from the beautiful sandy beach in Llanbedrog, on the picturesque Llyn Peninsula. Gwylfa provides a great base and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Wales; whether it’s a seaside holiday you’re looking for or something a little more adventurous, this delightful cottage would suit couples, friends and families. A very welcoming and homely cottage awaits you, with comfortable accommodation which has been attractively furnished with warming greys and fresh blues, and the décor complements the modern interior. The sitting room has space for all the family, with comfy sofas and chairs that are just perfect for sinking into and relaxing with a good book. Lovely wood flooring extends through to the large, well-equipped fitted kitchen with spotlighting and a dining area, a wonderful social hub for everyone to enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out for the day, or for enjoying a late supper after a long day out. An open staircase leads to the three, well-presented spacious bedrooms upstairs, with the main bedroom benefiting from an en-suite shower room. Outside is a delightful garden area which enjoys a sunny aspect, with synthetic grass and a raised decked area with furniture and a gas barbecue for alfresco dining. A visit to Oriel Glyn y Weddw is a must, the oldest art gallery in Wales, featuring exhibitions from local artists throughout the year, then perhaps a walk through the lost woodland followed by afternoon tea. Explore the coves and cliff-top paths in the area, enjoy one of the many picturesque walks along Wales’ Coastal Path, or venture further afield to the popular town of Abersoch to the west or Pwllheli, Criccieth or Porthmadog to the east. Take the Ffestiniog Steam Train at Porthmadog and travel 13.5 miles, through some of the most dramatic scenery in the Snowdonia National Park, to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The Italian village of Portmeirion is also worth a visit and only a few miles away. Whatever you decide upon, this delightful cottage will make a fantastic holiday base, all year round.

Llanbedrog is a small village that sits close to the sea as part of the Lleyn Peninsula. The beach here is extremely popular, benefiting from its southerly aspect. It offers huge expanses of fine sand with glorious views of Cardigan Bay. The shores are often visited by dolphins and porpoises and the sea is also popular for a variety of water-sports. Inland, the panorama is a stunning vista of rolling countryside and rugged Welsh hills. The Snowdonia National Park is within easy access, offering around 82 square miles of unspoilt scenery, which houses a diverse range of flora and fauna. Llanbedrog village also has its own hidden gems, such as Wales' oldest gallery, the Oriel Plas Glyn-Y-Weddw Arts Centre and St. Pedrog's 6th Century church.
