Manod Cottage is in the central Snowdonia town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. This is a good base for exploring any part of North Wales or you can enjoy walks from the door and take your time exploring the wonderful mountain scenery. The small steam trains of the Ffestiniog railway run from here through wonderful scenery to Porthmadog on the coast. For the thrill seeker, the four man zip wire and Bounce Below are situated in Blaenau Ffestiniog or you can enjoy the new mountain bike centre, with trails to suit all abilities with further trails at Coed y Brenin, Betws y Coed and Penmachno within easy reach Mainline trains run through the Lledr and Conwy valleys to Betws y Coed and Llandudno.
