About this property

This lovely terraced Grade II listed former miner’s cottage dates from the 1850’s and is located in the centre of the popular Snowdonia village of Beddgelert in North Wales. Ideal for couples, families or friends, this delightful cottage in Beddgelert is situated at the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Two first floor bedrooms offer cosy and comfortable accommodation, with the master bedroom offering an en-suite cloakroom, alongside a contemporary ground floor shower room. The open plan living area combines features old and new with original floor tiles forming part of the fireplace alongside modern underfloor heating, as well as a fabulous woodburning stove, a wonderful way to warm up after a walk in the mountains. At the rear of this Beddgelert cottage, and accessed up nineteen steps, is a real hidden gem! A fabulous decked area overlooking the terraced garden and the rooftops to the mountains beyond; a superb location for a refreshing drink after a day spent discovering the footpaths and trails of the Snowdonia National Park. Beddgelert is a delightful village with a good selection of shops, pubs and cafes alongside the river. Make sure that you visit the famous grave of Gelert, the faithful hound of the medieval Welsh Prince Llewelyn the Great, which is the centrepiece of the village. Walk to the peak of Mount Snowdon along the Watkin Path which runs from Beddgelert, or discover a whole range of footpaths that surround the village and which suit all abilities. Mountain biking is well-catered for locally with a number of centres in the area, or if you fancy a more leisurely day out, a ride on the Welsh Highland Steam Railway runs through the village taking you to Porthmadog on the coast. Whether it is walking or climbing in the mountains, or relaxing by the coast and visiting historic castles, this cottage in Beddgelert provides a holiday home that will live long in the memory.

Lying at the foot of Mount Snowdon, Beddgelert is situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. A busy village, it is centred around the Afon Glaslyn river, just a short walk from the Aberglaslyn Pass. The Welsh Highland Steam Railway passes through Beddgelert on its way from Porthmadog to Caernarfon.
