Peacefully situated at the end of a quiet country lane, Penrhyn Mawr adjoins the owners’ home just 1.5 miles from the former fishing village of Aberdaron at the tip of the Lleyn Peninsula, a delightful and historic setting for a fabulous sandy beach, cafés, shops and pubs. The lively resort of Pwllheli’s many amenities are a short drive and the Snowdonia National Park, with its wealth of exhilarating outdoor pursuits and family attractions, is also within easy reach.
Property is located within a working farm environment, extra care should be taken if you have children in your party.

This is a cottage you can just relax into. It's an old cottage, not luxurious or filled with things you're afraid to touch in case you break them but it is very well equipped and very, very comfortable. The cottage stands on a headland with wonderful views of the sea, we also saw fantastic sunsets and sunrises during our stay. If you want to stagger from your base straight onto the beach then Penrhyn Mawr isn't for you but if, like us, you love a great coastal walk or cycling around small lanes to reach beautiful beaches then this would certainly be the right cottage to stay in. The owners are on site and very helpful. We had a great time at Penrhyn Mawr and hope you do too.

As a mother and (adult) daughter booking, we were using both double rooms. Only one bedroom had bath towels, as far as I can tell there was no price reduction for under occupancy, so it was disappointing that there weren't towels for both of us. While the cottage was clean and had comfortable beds. It should be noted that at least 6 farm dogs roam freely in the farm yard and they are keen to bark (without stopping) at various times from early morning through until after dark.We live in a rural location, surrounded by farms, have stayed extensively on farms and are not 'city types', but the incessant barking was more than we were used to either at home or in other holiday locations. To be factored in, if you are not an avid fan of barking.
