Acorns is a very stylish two-bedroom apartment in Ambleside, a small bustling town in the Lake Dis-trict National Park. Pause for a moment as you enter this modern and comfortable apartment from the balcony to admire the views to magnificent Fairfield. Step into the entrance hall which leads to the attractive sitting room and dining area. After your journey, wind down and relax on the com-fortable leather suite, listening to your favourite music, or log onto the smart TV. Step through the patio doors onto your furnished balcony and enjoy a drink while overlooking the river below. Create an appetizing meal in the beautifully fitted kitchen and enjoy in the tasteful din-ing area. Climb the stairs to find two elegantly decorated bedrooms, one king size room with a double bed and a large room with three singles. A modern family bathroom awaits upstairs with bath and shower over, a basin, and a WC. There is a second shower room with shower, basin and WC in the lower hallway. Why not leave the car for the day and head out on foot to the surrounding hills to enjoy some of the most dramatic countryside the National Park has to offer? Head off to the summit of Todd Crag or Wansfell and if you feel adventurous try the acclaimed Fairfield Horseshoe. All from your door-step. Fancy a more relaxing day? Take things easy, stroll down to the town and enjoy the Heritage Trail which takes you to some of the most interesting old parts of the village or take in the beautiful river walk in Rothay Park. Browse the individual shops and enjoy a drink and a meal in one of the many cafes, restaurants or pubs in the town centre. Take a 15-minute walk from the town centre to stunning Lake Windermere at Waterhead and take a cruise or hire a boat. Make the most of precious time with your loved ones on a relaxing retreat to Acorns.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
