A short walk will lead you to the village which boasts a pub and local butcher, whilst numerous paths lead across nearby fields, within a mile connecting to the Offas Dyke trail, making this location ideal for exploring the delightful surrounding countryside. When you’re not wandering on foot, jump in the car to explore some of the charming attractions in the area; Denbigh is home to a selection of pubs and restaurants and the ruins of Denbigh Castle, making for a lovely afternoon out in a characterful town. Ideally situated within reach of the Snowdonia National Park, a wealth of outdoor activities can be found, including kayaking, hiking and climbing, amongst picture-perfect scenery. If you prefer a day at the seaside, the coast is a scenic drive away, with ths traditional seaside town of Rhyl on offer, or for a more peaceful day at the seaside, the sandy beach at Talacre. Denbigh dates back to the 11th century and boasts the remains of a 13th century castle, perched on a steep hill above the town and commanding some superb views over the surrounding countryside. Denbigh is a busy little town, with a variety of shops and pubs, and a number of events including walking festivals, beer festivals, the Denbigh and Flint Annual Show, the ClayArt Potters Market and a monthly People's market. Within easy reach of Denbigh are the cathedral at St Asaph, the castle at Bodelwyddan, the seaside resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn or Colwyn Bay, and the historic city of Chester, over the border into England. The Snowdonia National Park is a short drive, with its stunning lakes, mountains, walking and cycling, while the Lleyn Peninsula and excellent beaches on the Isle of Anglesey are ideal for a day trip. Plenty to see and do at any time of the year!
