About this property

St Davids 7 miles. This high quality holiday lodge is set on a quiet park of just 18 lodges, half a mile from the small Pembrokeshire village of Llanrhian, 7 miles from St Davids. A few steps lead to the side entrance or onto the decked veranda for access into this cottage near St Davids. Once inside you will be delighted with the high specification of furnishings and fittings and immediately feel relaxed and keen to start your holiday. With a spacious, light and airy open-plan living area, all the family can enjoy each other's company whether cooking, eating or watching TV. Three bedrooms, a bathroom and an extra cloakroom complete the accommodation in this St Davids holiday cottage. Overlooking the large lawned area where children can quite safely enjoy outdoor play, the adults can relax on the veranda with a quiet drink and keep an eye on the fun and games. The countryside views stretch as far as a glimpse of the sea, and beckon you to explore this wonderful coastline from the world-renowned coastal path, which is just 500 yards from this St Davids holiday cottage, or on one of the superb sandy beaches scattered in both directions. The nearby little fishing harbour in Porthgain is one of this beautiful area's highlights and you can reach it via a public right of way near your cottage which leads you to Porthgain through fields. Guests can sample the fresh fish caught daily in the village which is then cooked to perfection in the fish and chip shop or restaurant, you will not find anything fresher in the whole of the UK. After sampling this superb food, wander round the little art galleries for that special memento of your stay. The days out from this wonderful St. Davids holiday cottage are so varied - boat trips to the bird islands, white water rafting, theme parks, castles galore and, of course, a stay in this spectacular part of Wales could not be complete without visiting St. Davids with its magnificent cathedral, quirky little shops and tea rooms. A perfect St Davids holiday cottage in the perfect location all year round.

St Davids, Wales' smallest city, lies at the far end of the south-west coast of Wales. St Davids has a magnificent cathedral which dates back to the 12th Century, and still boasts the ruins of the Bishop's Palace. The city is set within the Pembrokeshire National Park, and offers a good variety of shops, eateries, tearooms and pubs. There are sandy beaches nearby, and great walking and wildlife can be enjoyed from the nearby coastal path. Visitors may also wish to visit Oakwood Theme Park, or try dolphin spotting on a boat trip to one of the local islands.

Super 'cabin' - clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet, secluded - in a great location for exploring this beautiful area.

There is a bumpy, potholed dirt track down from the farm to the lodges so a suitable vechile is required. I wouldn't arrive in a lowered vechile but you dont need a monster truck either. I drive a ford focus and we made it up and down there with no issues. Nothing has changed, apart from the weather. Whether sunny or rainy it's always a great time here away from it all. The views are still amazing and it is so peacefully quiet, its like being away from everything. You can walk down to Porthgain, cutting through the fields is quicker and going over the bridge with the water running underneath is so tranquil. The Sloop Inn is a great pub with amazing food, drinks and great staff, well worth a visit. The coastal walks are breathtaking, miles of views you will always remember. The blue lagoon is just a 5 minute drive away, just put Abereiddy Beach in the satnav/maps and it will take you there. There is parking on uneven, stoney ground so be aware of this before going. There is a charge of around £5 which is collected by someone before you park, i would advise to have the change to hand. They also provide public toilets which are free to use, no 40p required here. I would highly recommend a visit here. You can also walk from Porthgain to the Blue Lagoon, for those able to do so. Saint David's is also close by, amazing cathedral, shops, pubs, cafes all you could need for a great day out. To sum up, the lodge itself is worth the visit. The scenery and location is just an added bonus, I will most certainly be returning again.

An easy stroll down to lovely Porthgain (with superb fish and chips at The Shed), and not far by car to St Davids. The cottage is nicely tucked away in the countryside, with a glimpse of the sea, and only the animated sounds of the cows in the next-door farm during the night. After active days we enjoyed sitting on the big L-shaped couch to enjoy a movie. (No BBC tho'.) Only points to improve would be a much-needed clean of the exterior of the cabin, and more care with interior cleaning (checking how well the previous guests have cleaned crockery and glassware, and the state of the bin, and the washing machine). So a lovely stay, aside from those matters. Thank you!
