The Bickney is a traditional, character cottage near St David's situated on a quiet country lane a mile from the sea, 6 miles north east of St David's and Whitesands Bay. Several little coves and quiet beaches are within easy reach, and a shop and good pubs (including the famous Sloop Inn at Porthgain) are just a short drive away.
The cottage retains its original charm with beamed ceilings and stone walls and has a feature inglenook fireplace with an original range in one of the two cosy sitting rooms. The other sitting room has an electric fire in the stone fireplace, and flatscreen TV with DVD player. The fitted galley kitchen includes a washing machine and small freezer; an archway leads through to the dining room. The ground floor bathroom has a mixer shower over the bath. Upstairs are two good-sized bedrooms - a twin room and one with a double and a single bed. Heating is by electric convector and night storage heaters.
The cottage is set in lawned gardens with patio furniture, and views across the fields to the sea from St David's to Strumble Head. Nearby is Abereiddy Blue Lagoon, fabulous walking and coasteering along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and good surfing beaches nearby. An excellent location for the wonderful attractions of the Pembrokshire coast.
