Maes Masarn is a spacious semi-detached stone cottage set in a pretty cobbled courtyard in the extensive grounds of a Victorian country house, 3.5 miles south of Conwy. Situated in the beautiful Conwy Valley, on the eastern boundary of Snowdonia National Park, the cottage is ideally located for exploring this stunning area. The North Wales coast and Conwy, with its historic castle, are just four miles away; Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, 12 miles.

The cottage is furnished and equipped to a high standard with beamed ceilings throughout and traditional quarry tiles on the ground floor. The living room has an open fire in the stone fireplace (logs supplied),  comfortable seating and a 42" plasma HD TV with Freeview, DVD and CD/radio. WiFi is available at a small extra cost. The dining table has an oval table and leather style dining chairs. The modern kitchen/diner also has a table and chairs. It is equipped with a freezer and dishwasher and there is a separate laundry room with a second sink and washer/dryer. There is a ground floor cloakroom with WC and basin. Upstairs there are three bedrooms: a spacious double with an antique style brass bed and en suite shower room, a king size double with an additional single bed settee and a twin bedroom. Heating is by night storage and portable heaters. Guests have their own large walled garden with a picnic bench and barbecue and views over farmland. There is also a small shared games room with table tennis and a payphone. The Conwy valley is a great spot from which to enjoy a wealth of outdoor activities. There are gentle valley walks, forest paths and famiy friendly cycle trails or more serious mountain ascents, such as Snowdon, and world class mountain bike trails. The nearby market town of Llanrwst has shops, cafes, pubs and the stunning Tudor castle, Gwydir Castle. A short drive takes you to the National Trust's Bodnant Gardens, whcih is open all year round, and the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre, whilst a few miles further takes you to the coast and the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno with its majestic sea front, beach, theatre, Great Orme Country Park, tramway and much more! The new Surf Snowdonia surf and wave centre, for watersports enthusiasts of all ages, is only 3 miles away. ZipWorld arial sip wires and Bounce Below underground trampolines are just over half an hour's drive away.
