About this property

Penmaenmawr 0.5 miles. A delightful mid-terraced cottage, located in the elevated hamlet of Dwygyfylchi, overlooking the golf course of Penmaenmawr, just half a mile from Penmaenmawr town and 10 minutes’ walk from Capelulo village, in the lovely North Wales countryside. This cottage has been tastefully styled to offer welcoming and homely accommodation, accessed down external steps into a courtyard garden and on into the kitchen/diner. You will notice immediately the attention to detail the current owners have taken with their renovation, retaining charm and character where possible, all complemented by modern fixture and fittings. The sitting room is bright and airy, with superb views across the golf course and down to the coast and Irish Sea, whilst two flights of stairs lead up to the first and second floors. Here you will find three first floor bedrooms and a bathroom, and a further twin bedroom on the second floor. To the rear of this pretty cottage is a patio area providing a peaceful retreat to sit and relax whilst enjoying the beautiful views, perhaps planning an exciting adventure for the following day. There is much to do in the area, with nearby Capelulo waterfalls well worth a visit, where you may be able to see wild Welsh mountain ponies roaming, enjoy the delights of Conwy and its medieval castle and craft and souvenir shops, or visit the newly opened Surf Snowdonia just ten miles away. With pubs and restaurants scattered around the neighbouring hamlets you will have plenty of choice where to eat when you stay in this lovely cottage.

Nestled on the North Wales coast between Llanfairfechan and Conwy, Penmaenmawr is an old quarrying town now adapted into a delightful community stretching along this stunning coastline, yet retaining much of its Victorian architecture, with many local pubs, restaurants and shops, a superb golf course and golden, sandy beaches.

The cottage was lovely and warm during our entire stay which was great to come home to after a walk out in the local area. Kitchen facilities are fab, all you need for a family of 6. Only downside was the single bed mattresses were pretty worn and it was a struggle to get a good night sleep with the springs digging into your side, but other than that the cottage was great and we would love to go back again. The owner was kind enough to leave some of the basic things like a handful of dishwasher & washing machine tablets, washing up liquid & sponge etc (so many cottages leave nothing nowadays!) and a bonus bottle of wine! There is so much to do in the area, and the views from the living room & bedrooms are just something else! Would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a base to explore North Wales.

New kitchen, extremely well equipped. New modern bathroom with fantastic shower. Recommend golf club down the road for drinks, Fairy Glen & The Gladstone for food. Booking advised. Great Orme Tramway is a great experience with fantastic views. Conway Castle is amazing. Aber Falls distillery tour is very interesting and the Wagyu burger in the restaurant @ £14 is great value (they also do breakfasts). Owners were extremely informative and helpful prior to & during holiday. We've already booked for next year and look forward to visiting Anglesey & Great Orme mine.

Everything you need in a holiday home. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner was very friendly when we spoke and arranges for a bottle of wine to be there for you! Lots of information about walks and local attractions are in a folder to help you encourage stay. Definitely recommend.
