About this property

A stylish, contemporary, farmhouse, next to the owner's home, on their smallholding, on the outskirts of Llannefydd village, in an elevated location above the Dolwen Reservoir, on the Denbighshire/Conwy border. This detached, delightful cottage offers quality accommodation and breathtaking views as soon as you enter into the double height, summer room, which soaks up the country views across the valley. Opening into a modern kitchen with a breakfast area, you will find everything you need to enjoy a sociable meal with friends and family whilst taking in the undisturbed panoramic views. A second reception room provides a cosy area to sit and read or watch TV. The addition of a ground floor bedroom, enjoying the use of a wet room next door, making it suitable for the less able guest, if required. Upstairs you will find two king-size bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities, the other a Juliet balcony, and a triple bedroom, again ideal for children, all enjoying some of the best views available in North Wales. The half-mile track to the farmhouse, though un-adopted, is in good condition and level and worth the walk back into the village to enjoy the hospitality at the 17th century coaching inn and restaurant, perhaps after a walk down to the reservoir to enjoy a spot of fishing first. If that doesn’t give you enough to do, then a ½ acre meadow outside the cottage provides all the space children may need to play Frisbee or perhaps fly a kite. The popular seaside town of Abergele is a short drive away and opens up to miles of sandy beaches and coastal walks along the Welsh coastline. Alternatively, visit the market town of Denbigh or the newly-appointed city of St Asaph, both just 15 minutes’ drive away. The area is renowned for its stunning scenery and country walks, and will have you returning to this luxury cottage time and time again.

Only 7 miles from the lovely North Wales coast lies the rural village of Llannefydd, located between the historic town of St Asaph, with its impressive cathedral, Rhuddlan with its majestic castle, and Abergele with its fabulous sandy beaches.

Thouroughy enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend it.

The views are amazing & we all enjoyed the peace & quiet of the location. Plenty of room for 5 adults & 5 children. The beds are very comfy. Camp cot, high chair & 2 stair gates also provided if requested. The children loved the play barn & trampoline. They also loved feeding the pigs & chickens & watching the sheep in the paddock. We were lucky enough to see some sheep dog training too. Ideally situated for days out in North Wales. The owners are really friendly & helpful & the fresh eggs are delicious. We could have happily stayed another week & look forward to returning soon.

Amazing views of the Welsh countryside from every angle of the house. The play barn is a great place for children - my two nephews spent hours in it. Bedrooms were comfy and clean. Would highly recommend Pen Bryn Llan as a base for anyone keen on exploring North Wales. Thank you!
