Overlooking the straits with commanding views of the encompassing mountains, this warm and restful abode provides a splendid base from which groups of six can uncover the hidden gems of North Wales. Dating back to the Victorian era, this attractive dwelling has been renovated with stylish interiors, whilst retaining character and charm from many of its original features. Make yourself at home in the welcoming sitting room, as you relax on the sumptuous corner sofa and enjoy heat from the woodburning stove and admire the pretty pictures of local scenery that decorate the walls. Cross the soft cream carpets over to the dining room, where you can turn on the traditional electric fire and begin to map out all of your upcoming adventures whilst seated at the gorgeous oak table. Rustle up a delicious afternoon snack in the contemporary kitchen and discover a sea of helpful appliances and utensils that lie within the beautiful cream cabinets. Climb the staircase up to the first floor and be greeted by a stunning grey bathroom with traditional Chatsworth basin and spacious p-shaped bathtub, perfect for a long afternoon soak. There's also a handy overhead shower providing the option of a quick and rejuvenating rinse, and a lovely, heated towel rail. Just a few steps away three tastefully decorated bedrooms comprised of a king-size and two doubles, each benefiting from plenty of storage space and outstanding views of the coast and country. Outside, you can delight in your morning cup of coffee or a lovingly prepared picnic out on the communal lawns, before grabbing your walking boots and heading to the heart of Menai Bridge to find an abundance of charming local stores, cafés, and restaurants. All the facilities were easy to use and everything was clean. Contacts with the owners were fine and the welcome goodies much appreciated. We would hope to use Y Bwthyn next time we are visiting Anglesey.

The cottage is also very spacious and the finish is to a high standard with everything provided for an enjoyable stay. The location offers a great base for exploring Anglesey and North Wales, with Holyhead being a 25 minute drive away. We had a very minor issue with a blown bulb but with a quick email to the owners, it was quickly rectified. The owners are very responsive too. Despite being next to a school, the location is very secluded and quiet overlooking Menai Bridge cricket club. Those with young children will enjoy the rabbits roaming the grounds. Only suggestion I would have is for a second WC, possibly an en-suite. However, a fantastic stay in all, I would recommend to family and friends and hope to stay here again. Thanks very much Bethan and Dylan.

The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We contacted the owners once about the carbon monoxide monitor and we had a swift response. We would love to return one day.
