The slate flooring extends down two steps into the kitchen which is well-equipped, boasting a range cooker and a dining area, ideal for a leisurely breakfast whilst planning your day ahead. The two bedrooms, offering a master bedroom with a double bed and wonderful countryside views and a twin with sloping ceilings and a ground floor shower room complete this delightful cottage. Outside there is a pretty Welsh slate patio area with picnic bench, which enjoys superb country views across the valley. Penmachno has numerous delights on offer with a local pub, mountain bike trails, doorstep walks and horse riding. The cottage is ideally situated for Blaenau Ffestiniog which is now acclaimed to be one of the adventure capitals of North Wales, home to Zip World Titan, the longest zip wire in Europe, Bounce Below and Zip Caverns, a subterranean system of trampolines and zip wires deep underground, and of course there is the famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway. The popular seaside town of Llandudno is within easy reach and is well worth a trip, especially to visit the Great Orme with its tramway, cable car and ski slope. Guests can also discover Portmeirion; the unique Italianate village and the wonderful harbour town of Porthmadog. The Cardigan Bay coastline can be easily accessed and Snowdon and the surrounding mountain range should be experienced from the top, even if you use the Snowdon railway line from Llanberis.
