Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers frequently highlight the cottage's cleanliness, with several specifically mentioning how spotless and well-maintained it is, which was particularly appreciated during Covid-19 concerns.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to local attractions and amenities, making it an ideal spot for exploring North Wales.

The cottage is described as cosy, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a relaxing retreat. However, a few guests mentioned that the shower pressure was low, which slightly impacted the comfort level.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being described as well-stocked and having everything needed for a stay. The lack of strong shower pressure and occasional comments on the absence of internet access suggest room for improvement.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches such as homemade Welsh cakes and fresh milk on arrival. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

About this property

An 18th century terraced barn conversion full of character with beautiful views of Snowdonia. Offering comfortable open-plan living accommodation, Bwthyn is ideal for a peaceful and relaxing break.

This property adjoins Ref. 1519 Arfron and Ref. 1520 Meifod and together they can accommodate up to 9 people.

Betws-Y-Coed has truly achieved its status as the ‘Gateway to Snowdonia'. Set in a stunning and temperate valley in the Snowdonia National Park, the village has served as an inspiration to artists and painters since Victorian times. Sitting on the banks of the River Conwy, Betws-Y-Coed is an ideal base for a variety of outdoor pursuits. Wildlife enthusiasts will delight in the hundreds of square miles of unspoilt scenery that houses an abundance of birds, animals and species of rare plant. Walkers, mountain-bikers and climbers can anticipate the challenges offered by Mount Snowdon and her smaller cousins. For the less adventurous, a railway has been constructed that will take you to the summit of Snowdon, allowing you to experience the breathtaking views without the breathtaking effort. The village is well facilitated, the inns and pubs serving good local food to weary travellers and it plays host to a number of festivals throughout the year such as the Snowdonia Mountain Run.

The location is great also, only 10 minutes from Betwys Y Coed and easy access to the coast. The hosts Kathy and John were very welcoming, with lots of advice on local walks and some Welsh Cakes waiting for us on arrival. I would highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely be visiting again.
