Romantic retreat set within the beautiful surroundings of West Wales countryside - the perfect place for couples to shed the stresses of everyday life and relax in style. Brilliantly converted from a 200-year old detached barn, this open-plan studio features a welcoming wood burner, a four poster bed with organic linens and a freestanding roll-top bath. The stable door is glazed, so whether you are sitting in front of the fire or lying in a bubbly bath, you will be able to enjoy the views towards the Cambrian Mountains.

Enjoy the magnificent night skies from the elevated balcony or through the skylights and feel the warmth of biomass powered underfloor heating throughout. The market town of Tregaron is just 1 mile away with its range of amenities, including pubs, shops and restaurants. Cardigan Bay, with its magnificent beaches is also just 16 miles from the doorstep. Y Granar (The Granary) also welcomes up to 4 dogs. 

Size: sleeps 2 in an open-plan studio

Beds: 1 king

Rooms: First floor: with level access from the parking area, the studio is all on one level, on the first floor. Open-plan living room with kitchen, dining and lounge area, bedrooms area and a separate shower room.

Kitchen & utilities: country kitchen with a Belfast sink, dishwasher, mini gas Rangemaster, microwave oven, mini retro under counter fridge freezer, electric hand mixer. Laundry service available on request.

Entertainment: Superfast fibre optic Wi-Fi. Television with Freeview and DVD player, desk/bureau bookcase and gramophone with a selection of records.

Outside: raised deck terrace area with two garden chairs and a table accessed directly from the front door. Expansive views of countryside and mountains in two directions with the occasional red kite. From the balcony, 17 steps lead down to an enclosed garden area with seating for two, a table and a BBQ. Charcoal and BBQ tools supplied. Beyond the enclosed area is further garden area with a wooden bench. There is also access to 2+ acres of bluebell woods, river bank, and unspoilt grassy pastures, as well as a small enclosed grass paddock for use by dogs, with dog agility equipment included. The pasture may sometimes have sheep, and require dogs to be on lead, but the woods and river bank are always sheep-free.

Parking: parking for up to 2 cars.

General: Biomass underfloor central heating, gas and electricity included. Free logs and fire starters for wood burner. Bed linen, organic cotton face cloths, hand towels and bath sheets provided, as well as Turkish cotton beach towels. Hairdryer and dressing gowns also provided. Welcome pack with fresh local eggs and bacon, Welsh bread, butter, marmalade and jam, selection of teas, freshly-ground coffee and hot chocolate, milk and sugar.

Pets: Up to 4 dogs welcome free of charge (perhaps more on request). Dogs will receive their own welcome pack (includes dog leads and guest dog tags, dog bowls and dog treats) and even a cute four poster dog bed suitable for small and medium/terrier-size dogs. Maps are provided to guide you on beautiful and bespoke dog-friendly walks (no stiles!) from your door - no need to get in the car. Dog towels and dog blanket also provided.

Notes: no smoking anywhere on the property (inside or outside) please. You may need to pay an Accidental Damage Deposit or Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver for this property. Where applicable we will contact you in good time before your holiday with further details and to take payment.
