Snaptrip says

Gorrig Bwthyn is a charming cottage in Llandysul, South Wales, appreciated for its cosy warmth, secure garden, and peaceful rural setting. Guests have praised the welcoming touches from the owners, the property's suitability for dogs, and its proximity to local attractions and stunning beaches. While some guests encountered issues with cleanliness and comfort, the majority enjoyed their stay, highlighting the cottage's homely feel and the thoughtful gestures such as Welsh cakes and fresh flowers.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage well-kept, while others noted areas needing improvement, such as human hair and food scraps. The presence of both positive and negative feedback suggests a moderate level of cleanliness overall.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with easy access to local walks, attractions, and beaches. The rural setting offers a peaceful retreat, though some guests noted the narrow entrance gate as a minor inconvenience.

Comfort receives positive remarks for the cosy atmosphere and amenities like the log burner, though some guests found the lounge chairs and sofa less comfortable. The presence of an electric blanket and hot water bottles indicates a generally comfortable experience.

There is insufficient information to accurately score facilities and maintenance. While some guests mentioned a lack of a CD/DVD player and issues with the TV size, there are not enough reviews discussing the overall state of facilities and maintenance to provide a fair score.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures from the owners, such as providing Welsh cakes, fresh milk, and flowers. These touches contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, although it is noted that such gestures are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

When cooking we struggled a little with the limited selection of baking trays, had to do most of our cooking on the hob. Amazing views Tregroes is beautiful, we walked 4 miles a day, we miss the local bus service since it has ended. Used Nigel the local taxi driver.

Pleasant walks right on the doorstep so need to use car. Loved the wood burner. Only down side was bedrooms did smell a little bit musty on first entering cottage.

Two adults, a 12Yr old, a 14yr old and 2 dogs. The cottage was perfect for us and the dogs. There was everything we needed for our stay. Be sure to take plenty of dog towels (we did) as the front entrance leads into the main lounge area so the dogs have to skip across a bit of carpet before they get to the tiled kitchen and bathroom areas. The back door into the enclosed garden is off the kitchen. We were out and about all day 10am to 7pm ish so the traffic from the road didn't bother us. It might have done if it was high summer and I had been in the garden with morning coffee or evening G&T ( check me out it sounds like I live my best life at all times !!) Previous reviews state the entrance is narrow ... it is.... but perfectly doable with care. Plenty of logs provided for the log burner, beds were super comfy. Lots of information and leaflets in the cottage. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did . I am now off to see if I can make my own Welsh cakes !! Xx
