Surrounded by rolling hills, woodland, farmland, streams and riverbank Y Llaethdy is one of a pair of adjoining West Wales self catering cottages set in tranquil countryside. A great location for cycling, walking, fishing and the perfect place to relax in the tranquil Welsh countryside. Cardigan Bay is also only a short drive away.
Y Llaethdy retains many original features and visitors are welcome to explore landmark features from the glacial age on the farm's woodland walk. The farm was built into the south-facing hillside above the Clettwr River and the gardens today are terraced to provide superb scenic views over the valley.
Ground Floor
Open plan lounge, dining area and a modern kitchen fully equipped for self-catering with fridge-freezer, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
The West Wales self catering cottage has a lounge which is comfortably furnished and includes Freesat TV and audio-visual system. Internet access is available for guests via the Wi-Fi network. Under-floor heating on the ground floor.
Upstairs
Bedroom 1 - double bed with en suite shower room, toilet & basin.
Bedroom 2 - 2 single beds.
Bathroom with shower over bath, toilet & basin
Both bedrooms have south-facing dormer windows overlooking the Clettwr valley. The rooms are tastefully decorated throughout to a high standard.
Garden
The West Wales self catering cottage has a stable door access to patio, deck and terraced garden with chair swing and patio furniture, picnic table and barbecue.

For the benefit of all guests, a ‘no-smoking indoors’ and no pets policy has been adopted.
Y Llaethdy can also be booked together with Yr Hufenfa. For larger parties, the downstairs halls can be opened up as adjoining lounges. Please contact us for more information on booking both.

We have had a fantastic stay. The cottage is lovely, the weather picked up and we were able to enjoy the garden for BBQs. The children had a great time playing in the garden, bat watching and we were able to use our telescope on some cloudless nights. We had lovely days out to Dinefwr Castle, New Quay, Newcastle Emlyn, Dolaucothi gold mines and the beach at Mwnt is breath-taking!

Had again a great time in Y Llaethdy. Made trips to the numerous nice beaches, watched dolphins from New Quay and puffins on Skomer Island. All in all a perfect stay which will be repeated.

The cottage is very peaceful and comfortable and we enjoyed our days here so much. Time passed too fast and we would like to stay longer. We spent one day on the Welsh Coast Path between Aberaeron and New Quay (wonderful), went by boat dolphin spotting and explored Llansteffan Castle at my son's 19th birthday. Thank you very much, Frances - hope to get the chance to come back one day.
