About this property

Aberaeron 6 miles. A charming detached holiday cottage situated on the outskirts of the village of Cilcennin in beautiful countryside, near to the coastline and the town of Aberaeron. This wonderful Cilcennin cottage is deceptively spacious, with contemporary accommodation, and is ideal for families who wish to explore this lovely area either by foot or by car. All ground floor, this Aberaeron cottage has three bedrooms, a superb family bathroom, together with a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and sitting room with dining area, from where you can relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the area. There is also a private enclosed garden with furniture, where you can sit and plan the day’s activities, or prepare food on the barbecue while the children play. From the doorstep of this Aberaeron cottage the many walks and cycle rides down scenic country roads are an absolute delight, or visit the nearby coastline to walk some of its famous coastal path, spot dolphins from the land or take a boat trip to see them close up. The village of Cilcennin itself is famous for its hill from where you can admire the fantastic views, and there's also an Iron Age hillfort that you can visit with the landowner's permission. The village of Aberaeron is just a short distance away from where you can purchase unusual gifts for your friends or sample the local produce in the many cafes and restaurants around the picturesque harbour. This part of Wales is steeped in history and this charming Aberaeron holiday cottage is a superb base to explore the surrounding countryside. A perfect Aberaeron holiday home in a beautiful location to enjoy at any time of the year.

The pretty Georgian coastal town of Aberaeron is located between Cardigan and Aberystwyth. There is an abundance of shops with unusual gifts, great eating places and pubs, and a quiet little harbour to enjoy watching the boats come and go. Aberaeron is perfectly positioned to enjoy watersports or coastal and countryside walks and cycle rides. Short drives to Cardigan to the south, or Aberystwyth to the north offer more shops, craft centres, museums and cinema or theatre visits. A lovely location all year round.
