Snaptrip says

Mill Cottage receives high praise for its cleanliness, stunning countryside location, and friendly owners. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property, beautiful views, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The enclosed garden is a hit with pet owners, and the games room, despite needing some maintenance, is a bonus. The peaceful setting makes for a relaxing stay, although some guests noted minor issues with amenities and the approach to the property.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests have highlighted the property as spotless and immaculate, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. A few minor comments about cobwebs and spiders suggest room for improvement, but overall, the cleanliness is consistently praised.

The location is celebrated for its beautiful countryside views and peacefulness. However, some guests mentioned the distance from local amenities and inaccuracies in the distance to the nearest pub, which slightly impacts the score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm atmosphere and cosy setting. Some guests mentioned firm beds and noise from creaking timbers, but these were minor points in an otherwise high level of comfort.

Facilities like the hot tub and games room are appreciated, but several reviews mention the need for maintenance in the games room. Issues with showers and Wi-Fi were also noted, suggesting that while facilities are good, there is room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

If we had to make suggestions we would say the showers need sorting there is little point the property having two bathrooms when only one shower can run at once and if any water is run whilst showering the pressure just doesn’t diminish it just dies so the shower becomes a dribble. Had this not been an issue we would have give the property five star ⭐️

The outside space was great for keeping our dog safe ,outside lights ,bbq area, washing line ,seating area and hot tub which was a special treat even in late October!! My seven year old loved the games room and play area was also a great surprise too. would also have definitely used washing machine if staying longer ,an added bonus to be taking home clean clothes. Kitchen great with large fridge freezer, large dining table ,dishwasher etc we used facilities every morning to cook breakfast and prepare packed lunch for the five of us ,we found everything we needed but may have been useful if the toaster had been larger as it was a little tricky to provide warm toast with cooked breakfast for five guests at the same time. Beds very comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space ,reading lamps in every bedroom. loads of coat hooks ,coffee tables in lounge and plenty of room for outdoor shoes under stairs, during the winter months ,kids bedroom great and plenty of storage space for cases loads of mirrors sockets, a bonus having three loos, hocks on every door also in bathroom great for clothes ,dressing grown ,swimwear and toiletries, Would definitely recommend this properly for couples and families alike would love to return during summer months to make more use of facilities provided. Also the great local walks. A great four night break had by all the family.

Cleanliness was very good, but what an annoying shower in the en-suite as it pointed straight at the wall and we had to take it off the rail and hold it to have a shower to stop it from flooding the floor. Also couldn’t understand why only one bedroom had towels when it said that towels would be provided. Other than that a lovely cottage to stay in and we would definitely stay again.
