With a wonderful open-plan living arrangement, this coastal cottage near the town of Aberporth is in a great location for a family looking to explore the North Wales coast and beyond. There are two bedrooms within the property, a king-size double and a twin, both featuring stunning skylights for you to capture a glimpse of the beauty of the landscapes of Wales. The open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting area is the hub of the house, perfect for spending time as a family while you open up the patio doors and let the coastal breeze flow through the property. With an easy access downstairs bathroom right next to the entrance of the cottage, it's the perfect place to hose down the dogs after a day of sea splashing and sun soaking. Outside is an enclosed space, safe for both the pets and the kids, where you can watch over them form the window; you can also curl up on the sofa and enjoy a DVD from the wide selection offered in the sitting area. The local area is remote and relaxing, but you can walk into the main coastal village of Aberporth to be greeted by a selection of eateries and places to grab a drink, as well as being just a short walk away from Aberporth Beach and bay, where you can take a boat trip to watch dolphins swim amongst the waves. If you don't fancy a boat trip, be sure to check out the Leaping Dolphin statue and rummage through the rock pools to uncover wonderful wildlife. The area boasts an array of fantastic walking trails, including the Ceredigion Coast Path, leading to the sheltered sandy coves of Mwnt Beach, perfect for paddling and soaking up the Welsh sun. Located close to the West Wales airport, this property is in a brilliant location for avid aircraft spotters, as well as being close to the Welsh Wildlife Centre; there's lots to explore, no matter your hobbies or interests! Blackthorn Cottage is a wonderful family cottage to return to after a day at the beach enjoying the best of the North Wales coast.

Aberporth is a small town that sits on the southern edge of Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion, renowned for it's fabulous beaches that attract visitors, all year round. There are two beaches that sit between the rocky headlands of Trecregyn and Fathgarreg, separated by a smaller rocky outcrop. Uniquely, at low tide they interlink, but at high tide, they create individual beaches and create great rock pools for the children to play in and explore. Small boats, canoes, and kayaks can easily be launched from the north beach, while the south beach lends itself beautifully for a spot of sunbathing. Close to the beaches, there is a small seaside café, fish and chip shop, and a friendly pub serving good food and drinks. In the village itself, there is a range of shops and takeaway stores. Nestled directly on the famous Wales Coast Path, between the towns of Cardigan in the south, and Llangrannog and New Quay to the north, it is a great base for exploring this glorious stretch of coastline. Venture to Cardigan and discover the town’s many shops, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs, and bustling markets. Visit the nearby themed farm park, spot dolphins from the coastal path, or take a boat trip for the chance to see them up close! Aberporth is a great base for exploring this wonderful part of West Wales, with something to do for all the family.
