There are a range of activities available both within the town itself and the surrounding area with miles of beaches and countryside to explore. Within the town there are a number of attractions suit a variety of interests, these include Constitutional Hill and Cliff Railway offering unrivalled views down the Cardigan Coastline. Victorian Pier with arcade, snooker hall and restaurant for that traditional seaside experience. Rheidol Valley Railway running between Aberystwyth and the historic village of Devils Bridge. For those seeking a cultural experience the town houses the Welsh National Library, the biggest library in Wales, holding over 6.5 million books and periodicals, and the largest collections of archives, portraits, maps and photographic images in Wales. There are also a number of art galleries located around the town and a recently refurbished museum. Slightly further afield a variety of walking paths and cycling trails can be found.
