About this property

A well-presented mid-terrace cottage situated very close to the harbour town of Burry Port in South West Wales. A character cottage situated within a short stroll of the town's beaches and harbour as well as the amenities of the town itself, making it a great place for a family or get-together with friends wishing to explore this varied area. The cottage has been tastefully furnished and decorated throughout. The sitting area has lovely comfy sofas, which then leads you to a good-sized dining area; making a great place for socialising with a nice home-cooked meal. There is also a cosy snug with a welcoming woodburner, making it a relaxing retreat in which to curl up with a good book. The kitchen is large and spacious with everything needed for your stay. Upstairs the landing is split with a good-sized bathroom on one side and a spacious double and twin bedroom on the other side. Going up again takes you to the eaves of the cottage which has a large double bedroom with plenty of space and skylights, even giving views to the sea. To the front of the cottage is a small enclosed courtyard. To the back is a large patio area with furniture. There are paths then leading through a gate down to lawned gardens and even a pond to enjoy. With seating throughout, you can take your pick where you relax within the garden. A few minutes’ walk takes you into Burry Port itself with a good selection of shops, a Post Office and several pubs and restaurants. Head to the harbour, which is a short walk away, to sit and watch the boating activity, or wander along the bright sandy beaches, stopping to make a few sandcastles with the little ones. For the golfers in the party, take a trip to championship Ashburnham Golf Club which is just 200 yards away and is renowned for offering all year round sport, no matter what the weather throws at you. The Millennium Coastal Park runs along this beautiful coastline, allowing walkers and cyclists alike to discover one of the most scenic routes in Wales. Nearby you can explore castles, spend a day at Pembrey’s dry ski slope, discover the surrounding nature reserves or even enjoy a day at the races at Ffos Las. Visit historic castles, do a bit of shopping in nearby Llanelli or Carmarthen or take the train to Cardiff for everything the capital city offers. A delightful cottage with plenty to see and do, making it a perfect place for a traditional seaside holiday at any time of the year.
