About this property

Lampeter 2 miles. This semi-detached barn conversion is situated on the owner's smallholding of Cefn Bryn Farm just two miles from Lampeter, offering stunning views over surrounding farmland and countryside. Ideal for couples, families or friends looking for a quiet, rural retreat and lots of long walks with the dog. A patio door entrance way opens onto an open plan living and dining area with a wooden dining table and chairs and comfortable sofas ideal for relaxing on at the end of a long day exploring the area. Set over one floor, the well equipped kitchen and two cosy bedrooms are conveniently situated off the homely living area. There is both a double bedroom and a twin, each with pine furniture. Finally, the well-maintained shower room features an electric shower set in a spacious cubicle, white toilet and basin. The cottage has ample private parking. There is also a seating area at the front complete with picnic table, offering the perfect place to sit with a drink and take in the views over nearby fields. This is the ideal spot for a couple to get away from it all for a romantic retreat, or couples or families with children who are likely to be intrigued by the owners' sheep in the adjacent fields. The nearby university town of Lampeter offers a variety of pubs, shops and restaurants, but this area of west Wales is also the perfect spot to visit for outdoor activities. Canoeing and kayaking expeditions are run by Llandysul Paddlers on the river Teifi in the town of Llandysul, which is roughly a 20-minute drive from the cottage. The beautiful shingle and sand beaches at Aberaeron and Llanrhystud are also only 25 minutes away by car and perfect for walking on all year round. Cefn Bryn Cottage is the perfect place for anyone who loves the outdoors and wants a rural base from which to explore it.

Lampeter is the smallest and oldest university town in Wales, and boasts a fine selection of small, locally-owned shops. It's also home to a museum, a Welsh quilt museum and has a wealth of tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, regular markets and a fine food festival. Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and rivers, the area is ideal for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.
