Narberth, just over the border in Pembrokeshire is 8 miles, and has a range of boutique shops, delicatessen, excellent Butchers and Bakers and restaurants to suite all tastes. Centrally and conveniently located, this stunning cosy retreat offers a wonderful, romantic and peaceful location for exploring the West Wales coastline, including the resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot, to the South and Cardigan and St David’s to the north with numerous beaches in between. The estuary town of Laugharne famous for the Poet, Dylan Thomas is a 10 minute drive. The Old Dairy is spacious, with an open-plan living area enhanced by period features and exposed beams. The L-shaped kitchen/dining area, is light and well equipped, and has all you will need for a comfortable stay with a range of high-quality appliances. The Old Dairy is owned by an artist couple and is adorned with their paintings, drawings, and sculptures. They offer painting and drawing tuition to guests in some of the areas unique unspoilt scenery for those who may want to combine some creativity in the holiday break! Outside there is a terraced seating area with dry stone walls over looking a deep wooded valley called the Nant Colomendy, an ideal spot for having breakfast or for relaxing with a cool drink and barbeque in the evening. Break away from everyday life with a stay at this bolt hole in Carmarthenshire, often dubbed the Garden of Wales, an ideal location for walking the local footpaths, the Preseli hills and the Pembrokeshire Coastal path and for visiting the Castles of the Landsker Line.

A market town on the River Tâf, Whitland sits 15 miles from Carmarthen. Its centre has shops, pubs, a train station, eateries and the Hywel Dda Gardens and Interpretive Centre. Nearby visit Narberth with its Georgian architecture and range of amenities. Carmarthen offers more shops, restaurants, tea rooms and a cinema.
