This charming cottage, set in a quiet and remote location near the top of Llanllwni Mountain overlooking Brechfa Forest, is perfect for friends or families looking for a peaceful holiday. Surrounded by open fields, with far-reaching views and walks from the door. Llanllwni Mountain is a recognised Dark Sky area, so you can enjoy the spectacular stargazing opportunities. The village of Brechfa (6 miles) is a popular destination with walkers and mountain bikers of all abilities, with various trails to enjoy.
Step through the front door into the entrance hall of this delightful farmhouse, and from here, access the characterful lounge area where you can unwind on the comfortable sofas in front of a crackling wood burner. From the lounge, step into the spacious kitchen/diner, which has everything you need to prepare a tasty family favourite. This room leads to the downstairs shower room. From the lounge, enter the sunroom with wrap-around windows providing a calming space to read, chat or open the French doors to enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside. Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms: a single, a super-king-size, and a double. Each bedroom offers beautiful countryside views. Completing the upstairs features is the family bathroom. Step outside to unwind in the fully enclosed garden with dining furniture and a BBQ.
Llandovery (18.5 miles) is on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and is a pretty little market town where you can enjoy browsing boutique shops and independent cafes. Within 20 miles of the property, you can step back in time at Dryslwyn Castle and Paxton’s Tower or explore the flora and fauna of the National Botanical Garden of Wales. Walkers can explore Abergorlech Forest (9 miles), and if you love the coast, it is 21 miles to Llangrannog or Beach or Traeth Penbryn.
