"Had a lovely time, could do with a tv in the main bedroom."

"Brynmawr is not a pretty place by any stretch of the imagination but it's residents are lovely. However Joy Cottage and Tina your host are a couple of gems. There is more than adequate space and very dog friendly."

"We had a fantastic weekend in Joy cottage. Tina was a wonderful host and all the added extras were a lovely touch. Would highly recommend."

"The pictures looked lovely and i checked the reviews. All were fab and when we got there we were not disappointed!! Cosy, clean, well equipped kitchen. Communication with Tina was easy and welcome hamper a lovely touch. I would recommend. I cannot think of any ifs/buts. All the little details taken care of. We would stay again."

"Expected good got great.Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, this is a well-appointed and very well presented terrace cottage. Plenty of room for a family of 6, four adults and two children. Laminate flooring throughout downstairs with carpeted stairs and bedrooms. Comfortable lounge with dining area at one end, fully equipped modern kitchen. Two good-sized bedrooms, one set as a double one as a twin for us, both have zip together mattresses so could be double or twin, additionally a smaller bunk bedded room. All bedrooms have hanging and drawer space. Toilet with shower completes upstairs.Very pleasant owners (who live locally) seem to have thought of everything you could need, meet guests on arrival and provide a welcome hamper. There is also a major supermarket and local shopping.Good base for exploring."

"Spent a lovely week at Joy Cottage. The owners were very welcoming and the cottage was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Plenty to do in the surrounding area come rain or shine! Thank you 🙂"

"Excellent cottage, well decorated, furnished and equipped. Welcome basket full of useful items as a welcome bonus"

"The cottage itself is lovely and Tina was a wonderful hostess, but the location is not what we were looking for at all. We did enjoy the back garden and the games that our hosts provided, so that was a definite upside."
    Peter ‐ 16 Jul 2018
"This was a useful base to visit both north to the Brecon Beacons and south to the Welsh Valleys. It lies close to the Head of the Valleys road, which in turn connects to fast routes south to Cardiff and beyond. The cottage is comfortable and well appointed, more than you would expect on first arrival. The welcome from the owner was warm and friendly and the basket of goodies very acceptable. Brynmawr may not sound your ideal holiday base but it is a really useful point to begin visits to the hills, museums, tourist attractions, and a multitude of possible days out. Recommended for singles, couples or small families."

"It was a lovely experience in Joy cottage....good for the price, like the small small attention to detail and think of all age people.Overall very good experience...highly recommend to friends and family and in future if we will plan to visit that area again like to stay again. Thanks"

"Beautiful house with everything you could need and the welcome hamper was a life saver as we didn't need to head out to get shopping as soon as we got there although asda was only a 2 minminute drive away. The hosts were fantastic and they recommended lots of places to visit including the little Dragon pizza van that visits the brecon beacons from Friday to Saturday so we could enjoy a beautiful view along side the best stone fired pizza I've had. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family can't wait to go back again."
    Claire ‐ 5 Jun 2018
"A lovely house just the right size for the 6 of us. A basket of necessities and more awaited us and our dog! We felt very comfortable and at home right away.Thank you x"
    Emma ‐ 5 Jun 2018
"Lovely house, very well equipped with everything we needed and more! The hosts were so welcoming & thoughtful, we really felt at home. Location is great for South Wales tourist attractions & the Brecon Beacons. Within a 2 minute drive we found Asda & Willow Tree family restaurant very convenient. The beds were really comfy, well made up and house facilities really exceeded our expectations! The only negative is the on steeet parking but this was no problem for us as we never struggled to park directly outside the house.Thank you Tina & Nick x"
