Ty Bont is situated in Capel Curig in the heart of Snowdonia with spectacular Cyfyng Falls across the road. Surrounded by mountains, this is an excellent base for exploring the whole of North Wales. It is good walking country, with plenty at low level - perhaps along the riverside, or the adventurous can go to the top of Moel Siabod straight from the door. Climbing and canoeing are popular - taster days or advanced courses are available at the National mountain centre Plas y Brenin, just down the road. Two hotels and three cafes within walking distance provide a choice of food and are ideal venues to spend the evening in company. Nearby is the popular town of Betws y Coed with it's bustling shops and eating places.
