The traditional Victorian farmhouse has been split in two, and one half has been carefully converted to create self-contained, well-equipped accommodation, a welcoming mix of antique furnishings and modern fixtures and fittings. The owner lives in the other half and is on hand to ensure a comfortable stay. Enjoy medieval castles, the mountain railway, National Trust properties, lakes and waterfalls. Also Surf Snowdonia and Zip World are within driving distance, and nearby Snowdonia National Park is a designated dark-sky reserve. A lovely property set amidst stunning mountainous scenery.
Often described as the âPearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia', Criccieth is a tranquil and delightful seaside town just five miles from Porthmadog. The town is dominated by a 13th Century castle that towers over the settlement on a rocky outcrop. From the castle there are superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. The area is a haven for water sports enthusiasts with two pristine beaches and walkers and hikers have the magnificence of the Snowdonia National Park to explore with a myriad of footpaths and walks throughout the region. The town itself is well served with restaurants, pubs, shops and tea-rooms, giving visitors an opportunity to sample the famous Cadwalader's Ice Cream. In the immediate vicinity is a wealth of attractions including Portmeirion's Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle and the beautiful beaches and renowned golf courses of the Lleyn Peninsula.

Within ten minutes drive to the shops . Could do with a update . .lots of little nic nacs about . Advertise washer so wasn't expecting to have to pay £2a load and £2 for the drier. For the cost it should be in the price. Kitchen has everything you need. Bathroom was small and too many things in it . Shower was good and all was very clean . Was aware of the home owner as they are only a door away . Can here them talking so we felt conscious of the noise we made also .

There was no wi-fi which was annoying. The furniture was dated and the decor was tired. The beds were comfortably, but the bathroom was small and needs up gradings, new electric shower was fine. No washing machine. I was not paying the owner £2 aload to use her washer. Open fire but you have to buy your own logs. oil filled radiators not brilliant. The kitchen was more modern and was reasonable well equipped. And as for cleaning and vacuuming before you leave is a joke, what are the cleaners paid for if you have already done it. You go on holiday to get away from that. lovely area good beaches,walking, food etc.
