Enter via the front door into an open plan living space. The kitchen is the first thing you see - it has an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. Set to one side is a round table with four chairs.

The living space has ample seating in the form of two large sofas - that’s one each! There’s a contemporary wall-mounted wood burning stove, with a flat screen digital TV, DVD player and a cupboard full of books, CDs and DVDs for your entertainment.

The double bedroom is a lovely size and is accessed via the kitchen, through a gorgeous wooden swing door.

The bathroom is utterly wonderful! It’s tiled from floor to ceiling, with a luxurious double-headed shower, an extra large bath, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

To the side of Clynnog Cottage there is off road parking. To the back of the cottage there is a small courtyard and at the front there’s an enclosed garden which is laid to lawn and a patio area with garden furniture. The ideal spot to sit and relax with a cuppa!

If you can bear to venture outside the cottage, a short drive will take you to the delightful Newborough Forest. Do a spot of red squirrel watching, or take a stroll or cycle through the myriad forest trails. Head through to forest and you’ll find yourself on a sandy beach where you can walk across to the beautiful Llanddwyn Island. There are attractions, activities and places to eat and drink galore in this part of Anglesey. What are you waiting for? Book this brilliant holiday cottage today!

Clynnog Cottage can be rented on its own or with Clynnog House, which sleeps 12 and is just next door - ideal for special occasions with friends and family. Please don’t worry though, you do have privacy if you’d like to book Clynnog Cottage in it’s own right.

The small village of Dwyran is close to its larger neighbour of Newborough, which lies on the edge of forests and dunes at the south west corner of Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing. Behind the beach, the 1500-acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve, while the Red Squirrel Wood at Newborough Forest has miles of great routes for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. The Anglesey Model Village, set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Beaumaris Castle, many golf courses and miles of wonderful beaches, are only a short drive away.

Although there are other buildings on the site it felt as if we were the only occupants. At night there wasn't a sound. Well located with easy access to all parts of Anglesey and North Wales, it was comfortably furnished with an excellent shower. Great wifi too. We read previous reviews and took a fly spray but had no problems. There were sheep but no cows nearby. There is a new garden bench. We had a couple of minor queries which were responded to immediately by the caretaker. Would definitely return.

In summer it would be nice to be able to open the bifold doors onto the garden. Anglesey is a gem of a place and we will be back. Walking the coastal path so we will be back.

This caused a family holiday crisis with no time to rearrange. Sykes holidays still took payment for the previous holiday knowing it was unavailable.
