Anglesey offers many sights, including Plas Newydd Country House & Gardens, an impressive 18th century house which is famous for housing Rex Whistler's largest painting and held an exhibition of his work. There is a military museum containing uniforms and campaign relics of the 1st Marquess of Anglesey, perfect for those history enthusiasts. Why not visit Oriel Ynys Môn which is a museum and arts centre? The History Gallery provides an insight into the islands culture, history and environment, whereas The Art Gallery has a changing programme of exhibitions, encompassing art, craft, drama, sculpture and social history. Also nearby is Anglesey Sea Zoo, an aquarium which makes for a fantastic day trip for the whole family. Hendre Bach is the perfect place to stay in order to access many of Anglesey's finest sights.
The market town of Llangefni sits along the River Cefni and offers historical buildings set alongside shops, bars and restaurants, plus the town also has an art gallery. 7 miles away are the beaches at Benllech and Red Wharf Bay, which offer miles of sandy coastline.
