About this property

Glan Aber is a simple but welcoming holiday cottage set in peaceful Anglesey countryside. From this northern corner of the island, it’s just a few minutes in the car to the bay at Porth Eilian where you can Point Lynas lighthouse via the coastal path and hopefully spot porpoises and dolphins. There is plenty to see, do and experience close to this cosy holiday cottage.

The living space is entirely open plan and encompasses the kitchen, sitting and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven/hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and toaster. To one side is a wooden dining table and chairs sitting up to four people.

The sitting area is lovely and cosy as the comfy corner sofa and armchair are set around a wood burning stove - this will provide extra warmth come the winter months. There’s also a TV.

From the sitting room you take one step down into the pretty double bedroom.

There are stairs from the living space that lead up to an eaves bedroom that has two Z beds which are suitable for children or occasional guests.

The bathroom has a bath with shower over, loo and wash hand basin.

Outside you won't find a perfectly landscaped garden, but it’s still a nice, naturally planted space with multiple seating options to the front and back of the holiday cottage. There is also parking space for up to two cars next to the cottage.

Glan Aber is a holiday cottage in a lovely location! Dotted close by are pretty bays and coves, as well as attractions, walks and many other activities. Whatever the time of year, this is a fabulous cosy holiday cottage on the popular island of Anglesey. Explore all the delights of this fabulous island - or just sit back and relax! Whatever type of holiday you’re after in North Wales, you’ll find a fab base in Glan Aber.

A scattered, rural village situated close to the cliffs of Point Lynas and the little bay of Porth Eilian, on the beautiful north coast of Anglesey. Llaneilian stands amidst lovely countryside, which is perfect for scenic walks and cycle rides, but is perhaps best known for its lighthouse built in 1835, and its small, attractive shingle and sand beach, which is sheltered by cliffs and headland making it perfect for swimming, boating, fishing and other water sports. Just 2 miles west is the old port of Amlwch, the most northerly town in Wales, and Parys Mountain, where visitors can enjoy the Copper Mine Trail Walk amidst the old ruins of what was once the world's largest copper mine in the 18th century. Amlwch's harbour dates back to the Middle Ages and once was a thriving port. There is excellent fishing and golf nearby as well as beautiful sandy beaches and spectacular cliff top walks. Enjoy the medieval town of Beaumaris, with its 13th century moated castle, museums, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, take a day trip into Snowdonia or visit Dublin from the nearby port of Holyhead.

The bedroom is a bit cramped but that wasn't a problem to us. We were there in February and would love to come again in summer so we could enjoy sitting out on the south facing patio.

Very refined space in bedroom so wouldn’t suit some. Stables very close and fine with us “pet” horse Barney part of the story and wanders about freely. In full control of electricity supply by inputting same £1 in meter. Val the owner very friendly and available if required. Great base for exploring Anglesey.

Quiet and lovely area and brilliant to access so many lovely places. The accommodation was very comfortable and Val was an amazing host.
