About this property

Taigh Chailean is a lovely ground floor cottage based on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. It is based in the rural countryside with magnificent views over the nearby loch and surrounding countryside hills. Step into the open-plan living room with its attractive hardwood flooring and large curved windows, giving amazing views and an abundance of natural light flooding the property. The lounge has a lovely sofa and armchair facing the large TV, a lovely space for relaxing with your favourite shows, or enjoying the benefits of the provided books and games to unwind after a long day. There is a dining area near the windows, with seating for four people. The kitchen has a set of wooden units, with grey worktops and a range of high-quality appliances to suit your needs. Down the hall, you will find two bedrooms: one double and one twin, with a separate walk-in shower room. The bedrooms have been individually styled, and all have one wall decorated in lovely wallpaper. With the added touches such as bed throws and plenty of modern furniture, including a dressing table, this property provides luxury, even in the countryside. The Isle of Lewis is the perfect location should you wish to travel around the island to the paradise beaches of Harris, Uig, Bernera and Ness. Whilst in Harris, enjoy the many tourist attractions to include the distillery and the Harris Tweed shop. In Ness, you could visit the harbour and enjoy either the tranquil waves, as well as the lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, which makes for a beautiful sight. Also nearby is the Callanish Stones, megalithic ruins site which has a ring of standing stones surrounding an imposing central monolith. They were erected in the Neolithic era and were of major focus in the Bronze Age. Taigh Chailean is ideal for a couple or small family to enjoy the village and explore the local area.
