About this property

Perched on a cliff in the small coastal village of Gardenstown in Aberdeenshire, is this quaint fishing cottage, Main Street. Just a stone's throw away from a sandy bay and quirky eateries, this traditional, pet-friendly cottage is ideal for a family of five. Climb a handful of steps to reach the decked terrace, which overlooks the crashing waves of the Moray coast; here you can enjoy a cup of tea with a view. Enter the first-floor utility room, hosting a fridge/freezer and washing machine to freshen your clothes and continue on to explore your home-from-home. The first-floor hosts three adorned bedrooms, so you can unload your luggage in either a double with an en-suite, another double or a snug single bedroom. After a day of exploring, unwind in the jacuzzi tub or venture downstairs for a sauna experience in the ground-floor shower room. On the ground floor, discover the sitting room, where you can curl up on sofa with a hot chocolate with the Smart TV for your entertainment. Moving through the home, locate the kitchen/diner, certain to entice budding chefs with its electric oven and hob; afterwards settle down at the dining table to enjoy a hearty meal together. If you fancy a break from cooking, why not get better acquainted with your surroundings and tuck-into a home-cooked meal at Garden Arms Hotel, then take a romantic stroll along the sandy bay to savour the sunset. Embark on an adventure to Crovie Clifftop Path for panoramic coastal sights, enjoy peace and quiet at the secluded Cullykhan Beach or marvel at the historical landmark of St. John's Church & Kirkyard. History buffs may wish to visit the town of Banff to tour a magnificent Georgian mansion or if that's not for you, tee up at Duff House Royal Golf Club. For a blissful escape to Aberdeenshire, choose Main Street. EPC Rating: Band E

Gardenstown, a fishing settlement founded in 1720 by Alexander Garden, is frequently lumped in with neighbouring Gamrie and Crovie as a single community. Gardenstown is located on the edge of a tiny sandy bay with beautiful landscape on both sides. In addition to a pub that serves meals all year, the village boasts a restaurant, galleries, and various tea houses that are open during the summer. A steep path leads to the bay, where numerous small boats are moored, through the ancient, tiny, and twisting lanes. B

We were relaxed from the moment we stepped into the cottage. Everything was provided, the beds were comfortable and the cottage was perfect. The beaches were only minutes away, we walked to Crovie and visited many sites and castles all within 30 mins by car. The Wee Shoppee at the end of the street and a cosy pub for a night cap. Perfect Holiday. Thank you

We will most definitely be back. My only reservation was the dining room chairs - upon arrival I had a Teams call for work, the back of the chair gave way and luckily the kitchen window saved me from a fall - my Teams meeting had not yet started thank goodness. Chair was fixed as best as possible and was moved to rest my laptop bag on and then at dinner another chair done the same thing. All in all though a true hidden gem of a spot - thankyou :)

The only problem was the steep steps. There was no guest book to put comments in and instructions how to work the kitchen radio. Apart from that it was fantastic holiday and would go back. Kind Regards Frances
