"This is a very attractive, comfortable, clean cottage set in lovely Ayrshire countryside attached to the friendly helpful owners home. The views are gorgeous and on a good day you can see Arran and lots of wildlife from the cottage windows. The website pictures do not do the place justice. Andrew the owner is very friendly and on hand for any advice or problems but leaves you to enjoy the peace and beauty of this often overlooked area otherwise. There was a lovely welcome basket and milk in the fridge which was a much appreciated by us after a long journey. There was even a pack of treats for our dog....some cheesy treats which he loved despite usually not being a fan of such things! We really enjoyed the local beaches and little towns, eg Troon and had a fantastic day trip over to Arran. We had come for my father's funeral in Glasgow (this is also close by) but ended up having a really lovely holiday week. It has the peace of the countryside but there are lots of supermarkets nearby for provisions and there is a popular Indian restaurant within walking distance. And we didn't find the roads bad at all unlike a previous review. You just have to drive with care nearby, as with all country roads. The cottage itself is in a quiet lane with a beautiful ruin nearby. So overall, this is a great place to have a holiday, near the beautiful Ayrshire coast but also the attractions of Glasgow."

"This is a great place to stay. The owner is great and very helpful. We spent a week here with our two Shih Tzu's and they loved it with the big garden fully enclosed except the gate but they never even tried to go though it. Inside is very clean and comfortable with everything you would need. We were even able to record a programme we wanted to see so that we were able to see it later in the week. Beds clean and comfortable. Shower great with a bath if you would rather use. Only down side is the local drivers who think that the lane outside is a race track as they now it well, so be very careful when driving around corners. (Buy a dashcam for evidence). We had our Grandchildren stay for 2 nights and were made very welcome. The welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits is a very nice touch by the owner. All in all, I would recommend this place to all and will be returning ourselves in the future."

"nice relaxing holiday cottage perfectfor familys with your pets.weather perfect for going to the beach just six miles away"

"The cottage is a bit isolated but that suited us perfectly. The owner stays next door and when he's not working is happy to deal with anything. Most things are almost new and everything is in great condition but we did have problems with the WiFi connection however I was able to use my iPhone as a connection for my tablet. TV controls took a bit of figuring out so ask Andrew to explain them.If you like what Ayrshire has to offer then this is a perfect base for you."

"Loved the cottage loads of space the photos do not do it justice. Nice secure garden. Owner could not be more helpful. Perfect location for us."

"The cottage and location are beautiful, the owner was a perfect host. The facilities were top of the range and comfortable and we can honestly say this is the best cottage we have ever stayed in for this company. It was exceptionally clean, and the kitchen was very well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The log fire is so good and gives out a wonderful warm atmosphere. This cottage is definitely homely and a wonderful relaxing location, with a wonderful view while we were there it snowed and was very idyllic."
