Surrounded by open countryside this property is all on the ground floor, with one double bedroom and a walk-in wet room which is ideal for the less nimble. There is a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, where you can prepare a lovely meal before settling down in front of the woodburning stove in the sitting room. To the front of the cottage is a patio with table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dining on a summer's evening or just relaxing with a good book. There is excellent walking, cycling, golf and fishing from the doorstep, as well as in the delightful Lothian Estates woods. The lovely towns of Melrose, Kelso and Peebles are an easy drive away with the famous Jedburgh Abbey, Jedburgh Castle Jail and Museum, and the Mary Queen of Scots House to discover some of the interesting history of this town and surrounding area. Whatever the time of year this cottage is a perfect base from which to explore this stunning region.

The historic town of Jedburgh is a small, quiet town lying 10 miles inside the Scottish Borders with much to offer visitors. There are charming shops, pubs and award-winning, family-run restaurants to enjoy nearby, as well as historic attractions such as the fascinating Mary Queen of Scots Visitor Centre and the imposing abbey. Great fishing can be enjoyed on the Teviot, Tweed and Jed Rivers and there are 21 excellent golf courses to choose from.
