To the outside of the property, make the most of the well-kept lawn and treat you and the group to an alfresco meal while the dogs stretch their legs. Jedburgh is just over six miles away, this historic town benefits from a range of excellent amenities, the Mary Queen of Scot's Visitors Centre, the Castle Jail Museum and dramatic 12th century abbey. The small and pretty town of Melrose is easily reachable, as is the market town of Kelso and the magnificent Northumberland National Park for those of you who love the outdoors. Jedburgh is a town 10 miles inside the Scottish Border, between Newcastle and Edinburgh. It has shops, pubs and award-winning restaurants as well as countryside and attractions such as the Jedburgh Castle Jail, Mary Queen of Scots' House and the 1138 abbey towering over the town. Fishing can be enjoyed on the Teviot, Tweed and Jed Rivers and there are 21 golf courses nearby.
