Situated on the stunning Berwickshire coastline is this cosy cottage; a delightful stone-built, semi-detached property in the quaint fishing village of St. Abbs. Just 11 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed, this wonderful little building has been lovingly converted and boasts exposed timbers and sloping ceilings throughout. With an unusual 'upside down' layout, the open plan living space is situated on the first floor to better take advantage of the spectacular sea views. The cottage is well served by local amenities and is within easy driving distance of both Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh, the political capital of Scotland.
One ground floor double bedroom. Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. First floor open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with electric woodburning-effect stove.
With a delightful harbour and a knot of fishermen's cottages nestled amongst the hillside, St. Abbs is a picturesque fishing village situated on a beautiful stretch of Berwickshire coastline. Just over the Border into Scotland, this charming location offers a wide variety of activities. The St. Abbs Head Nature Reserve is home to a number of rare species of birds and wildlife whilst the Cheviots, Scottish Borders and spectacular coastline all offer great walking opportunities. Less than a mile away in Coldingham, there is a safe, sandy beach, or if you prefer a more urban environment the historic fortified Border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh are both close by. Berwick offers a museum and a castle whilst off the coast, the Farne Islands remain popular attractions amongst bird watchers and lovers of Lindisfarne Mead.
From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Ms Deborah Hillary, Leeds, West Yorkshire
"Beautiful cottage in a stunning location."
    Mr Jay Kelley, Ventura, CA
"Wonderful property, very comfortable bed, kitchen, bath, heating..and the view! The hosts were kind and politely respected the privacy of the renter. Couldn't be happier with this property and host. A real treasure to find, off the beaten track and would recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet. Highest recommendations!"
Mr Michael Archibald, Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
"Lovely location with a view to die for. Great place to relax."
    Mrs Mirian Patrick, Hassocks,
"The view from the property was fantastic; it looked straight out to sea across the harbour. As there was a balcony we were also able to sit out and enjoy the view. St Abb's is a lovely village and we enjoyed walks out along the coast, particularly around St Abb's Head. We visited Berwick and Edinburgh using the bus from the village, so we were able to leave the car in its parking space for most of the week. We used the car once to go out to see the abbey at Melrose. It really is a fantastic and varied area."
Ms Susanna Bearfoot, Birmingham, West Midlands
"The location was superb, with a balcony overlooking the Harbour at St Abbs. The owners were helpful and friendly. We had everything we needed in the house and were sorry to leave!"
Mrs Valerie Kerr, Bury, Greater Manchester
"The cottage was lovely and we just dropped out of the rat race and sat and watched the world go by. The owners were very friendly. Just what I want on a holiday."
    Mrs Shirley Darwin, Sheffield,
"Amazing views and decking area. Cosy, relaxing and romantic break. Everyone was very friendly and will look forward to returning there."
Ms Miriam Biran, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
"The owners were really friendly and helpful but also unobstrusive. There was a lovely welcome tray when we arrived. Cottage is snug with a peaceful atmosphere and the location and view fantastic. Really peaceful, friendly place to stay with plenty to see and do all around. Would definitely return and have already recommended it."
    Mr Boyes, Leeds, West Yorkshire
"The situation really makes this property special. In the centre of the little bay, it overlooks the quaint and well used fishing and diving harbour, with views out over the sea to St Abbs Head nature reserve. The excellent addition of a balcony, provides a magnificent sea-view seating area. The cottage was comfortable and prettily decorated, with a good bed."
    Ms Wilson, Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
"I liked it so much last year, I came back this year. It was even better! I was able to sit on the balcony when I got in and take in the scenery, boats, divers and canoeists coming and going from the wee harbour, different kinds of birds and passing ships and yachts. Another perfect chill-out holiday cottage. "
    Mr Swindell, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
"The location was stunning and the balcony was superb"
    Mrs Innes, Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
"This part of the coast is 'a little bit of heaven'! The accommodation totally met our needs."
