The park itself is OK, nothing special though. The lodge we stayed in was disgusting, we'd booked for a week but left after 3 nights as we couldn't stand the place any longer. It smelled of wet dogs, sweaty feet and "stale biscuits". The carpets had stains and holes, the cutlery and crockery were dirty and not a complete set of anything, it appeared like they'd been picked up over time from various carboot sales. The bedding was old, faded and musty and the mattress was covered in stains!!!! There was food left by the previous occupiers, chicken in the freezer and a bag of potatoes in the cupboard, so much for deep cleaning measures!!!! The freezer hadn't been defrosted for ever and the door seals were disgusting! The cooker was old and dirty and the front was all burnt. We moved the settee to retrieve a pen and found all sorts of rubbish under it! The lodge is old, dirty and smelly. One other point I'd like to add, this is the only place I have ever visited in the UK where you are told not to drink the tap water!!! We were however, kindly provided with bottled water but I found it quite bizarre. We also told the management of the problems and that we couldn't stay any longer as it was extremely below my standards but all I got was a puzzled look and a watery "Oh, sorry" I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and wouldn't go back if I was paid!
