This spacious property is ideally suited for a relaxing family and friends getaway. There are many walks both in the hills and along the river, even ending up at the local pub in Fortingall. Entering from the rear of the property, pass through the entrance hall and into the country-style kitchen, including which also boasts a table and a couple of chairs, ideal for a morning coffee. The sitting room has an open fire woodburning stove and makes an ideal place to unwind after a day spent exploring. There is also a dining table and chairs at one end and the décor reflects the surroundings of mountainous beautiful Perthshire. Next door is a snug and TV room which also boasts with a woodburning stove and here you can relax with a movie while the stove crackles away in the background. There is a handy cloakroom on the ground floor, while the main bathroom is halfway up the stairs. There are three bedrooms on the first floor and all with views across the gardens to the hills beyond; a king-size double, a twin and a single with a pull out bed underneath. Balmore boasts two lovely gardens and each has its own attractions. The front garden is flat and looks out over fields to the hills beyond, while the back garden is sloping, and with stairs, still offering a charming place to relax as well as access to a riverside walk just over the rear fence and woods to explore. A bench beside the kitchen window is the ideal place to relax with a drink and enjoy the sunset. Fortingall hotel is a 15-minute walk along the quiet road or else via a circular walk over the hills, a beautiful village designed in the Arts and Crafts style, where the hotel has a cosy bar and a formal restaurant. Kenmore and Aberfeldy, a short drive away, have a range of shops, galleries, cafés and restaurants as well as 9 hole golf courses. Kenmore is as well as a renowned water sports centre and other local attractions include the Scottish Crannog Centre, Castle Menzies, Highland Safaris and the Dewars Distillery. Aberfeldy has a public swimming pool and a cinema for rainy days. The surrounding countryside is home to some superb walking and cycling and with Ben Lawers and Schielallion nearby, serious walkers won’t be disappointed. Beautiful Lochk Tay is close by and Loch Rannoch is only a short drive away. Take time to explore the lovely surrounding towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl and Kilin. Kenmore, east of Loch Tay, is in the Perth and Kinross region of Scotland. It has shops, a couple of hotels and a restaurant and with the towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and Dunkeld nearby, this is an excellent location. The area is famed for its scenery, with the Cairngorms National Park close by.
