Hubby, dog and I are just home from a lovely holiday in Kildonan. The views from the living area of The Apartment are stunning, and it’s a really spacious apartment. The owners, Chrissy & Steve are a lovely couple and on hand with helpful advice & recommendations if needed. Surprisingly the bathroom was well stocked with toilet rolls , the additional towels were also much appreciated. Quiet convenient location. Highly recommend a trip to Blackwaterfoot beach , don’t forget to get tea/coffee & scones with butter, jam and cream at Shishkine Golf Club cafe afterwards. Family owned Cafe Thyme at Machrie is a superb place to lunch 12-3 pm with stunning views from either inside or outside the cafe and fresh food made to perfection with great flavours. We tend to go for a pide (Turkish pizza) which comes with a fresh salad , potentially best salad we’ve tasted. Along the road is also an excellent place for seeing seals basking on the rocks. Dinner at The Lagg Hotel was also good, with selection of options for vegetarians. All of the island worth visiting and don’t forget Brodick Castle and grounds.

beautiful location! beautiful view, ideal starting point to discover Arran.But:- the bed is horrible!, I can't recommend this to anyone! Much too soft, you lie like in a sponge- the bathroom has insufficient ventilation. So all in all a beautiful spacious apartment but especially the quality of the bed keeps me from returning here
