"Beautiful location stay in Hilton regularly but not used this cottage before. Only complaint no wifi rather inconvenient in this day and age. Would have given 10 for all if had wifi. Need it as phone signal poor but used to that in that area"
    Judith
"A very comfortable cottage in a superb seafront location. Everything that we needed was available and there were some lovely extra touches too.We saw otter, seals and dolphins from the upstairs window and watched the lovely sunsets - a real delight! The Seaboard Villages are lovely and the sandy award winning beach at Shandwick is only a short walk away.Thoroughly recommended. Thank you."

"Great spot for relaxing, can walk to the local pub for meals and easy driving access for the north of Scotland."

"Wonderful location, very peaceful village and well equiped clean cottage. We loved the sea view from the front room and bedroom. The children went onto the beach every day searching in the rock pools, and we sat in the garden looking at the amazing view on the evenings that were warm enough. We saw seals on the coast line nearby and visited many locations. Scotland is without doubt a beautiful country and we will definitely return."

"Lovely roomy cottage in a beautiful location. Excellent facilities. Great decor. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this cottage."

"This was not our first visit so we knew what to expect. A well presented cottage in a lovely location. This time we used it as a base to explore further afield. The scenery is spectacular and the people friendly and inviting. We will almost certainly be coming back."

"Very comfortable cottage in perfect location with stunning views."

"Really lovely cottage with everything I needed. Right on the coast so lovely to hear the waves when window open. Wood burning stove was cosy for October stay but other heating was effective anyway. Very handy shop in Balintore just 10 mins walk away. Front garden enclosed and private. Great coffee maker."
    Elisabeth
"Only space for one car and don't try to park a second one legally, the locals call the police! The garden is across the road and not attached to the property so not much use, hot water trickles out of the bathroom taps eventually, the local "hotel" closes during the week and at 9 in the weekend"

"Lovely cottage well presented and with great sea views, nice sandy beach a short walk away and good base for local attractions"

"This is the 6th Welcome Cottage i have stayed it and the owner had thought of absolutely everything right down to a needle and thread. Having the option of buying the ready made up boxes of kindlers and logs was an excellent idea, and saved the bother of going and finding them ourselves (as have done in the past). Very comfortable and felt right at home the moment we walked in. Also it was good to find out the local shop stays open until 10pm and was very well stocked. This my 3rd holiday in this area. One in Balintore and one in Shandwick. Oct 2012. "

"This cottage has excellent facilities and has everything you could ask for. The view from the bedroom is wonderful. Excellent walks, the dog loved Shandwick beach. Saw loads of bird life. Also dolphins one day in front of cottage. The only criticism I have was that the garden is over a wee road so therefore cannot let dog out alone however, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this lovely cottage. June 2012."

"Hilton being a very quiet place was ideal for the type of holiday we were needing. Cottage was very comfortable and welcoming. The welcome pack was a lovely touch as were the dog biscuits (for Barney the dog of course! Balintore Hotel is recommended for a meal and is 15 minutes walking distance from the cottage. Aug 2011."

"Property was excellent - Comfortable, had everything we needed, quiet area. Had a nice relaxing holiday, although put in a lot of mileage to visit all the places we wanted to see. June 2011."

"Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Owner was exceptionally helpful in sorting the accommodation for us after another property owner let us down. Nice location with lovely views. Only down side is the village doesn’t have a shop, pub or restaurant close at hand. Next village along does which is walkable within 15 - 20 minutes. would thoroughly recommend a stay here. March 2011."
