"Very disappointed on arrival first seen was torn net curtains on upstairs window, house felt cold and damp.Heating inadequate a choice of expensive electric heaters or an antiquated multi fuel stove which can take hours to light and to heat radiators also hot water. Was advised to leave two bags of coal for next guest when only only left for us,also a word of warning for future guests check electric meter at start of break as we were given wrong reading if we did not check it would have cost us more and tarrif charged was overpriced."

"After complaining about cottage and sending you clear photographic pictures of the state of this property, we are deeply dissapointed of your handling of this situation and would not holiday with you again"

"wonderful location, but think it needs to be stated that only half of the cottage is used, the other half locked and used as storage for owners. As no heating in that part there was constant damp smell wafting under doors, quite off putting. Also certain kitchen utensils need replacing. would not stay here again."

"Nice little cottage .few provlems when we first arrived Stove didnt work properly had no hot water untill the electrician on Tuesday..the gaps around the doors and windows in the kitchen was blowing gale force 9 drafts through the house ..small issuses would be easy to fix.Other than that a very good holiday. Ps the caretaker did her very best for us and a big thankyou to her."

"Had a great time and the cottage was almost perfect. Great location, cosy fire which heated almost all of the cottage and the hot water, basically equipped but had everything we needed. Isobel the caretaker was really friendly and helpful too."

"A lovely cottage in a fantastic location - the Kyle of Tongue is one of the most beautiful places we've seen. If you want to be "off-grid" for a while this is perfect (although the mobile signal up the hill from the cottage is better than we have at home in Somerset!). Very clean, and the wood burning stove gets the place warmed up once you've mastered it. Definitely recommended."

"The cottage suited our needs very well. It is in a lovely location, within quite easy reach of some fabulous walks and beaches. We had very good weather for the week we were there and despite this, the cottage was cold, particularly downstairs. Overall, it is a fantastic place to get away from everything and we would certainly consider returning."

"This cottage completely met our needs which were to be in a quiet place to retreat from digital life. It is a simple and straightforward place with adequate facilities. A car is a necessity to get there and explore the area fully which we did."

"With no tv or mobile phone coverage and poor radio coverage time has a tendency to stand still here. Port Vasgo is a collection of half a dozen houses and a small natural harbour at the end of a road. It is a secluded peaceful place with lovely views. The cottage was clean and comfortable but even in mid-August, with the absence of double-glazing, we needed the file/stove to warm the place; winter would be cold. The cottage was more expensive than the one we hired during the previous week on Skye which inclded electricity; this being more expensive possibly should have included electricity."
