Set on the narrowest part of the lovely Isle of Mull, Salen is a small village with a couple of hotels, a restaurant and a coffee shop. There is an agricultural show held just outside Salen each August. Outdoor pursuits in this area include mountain biking, walking, bird watching and pony trekking. Dramatic coastal scenery at Calgary Bay and the Gribun rocks make this a great base for artists or simply anyone seeking to blow the cobwebs away. The islands capital town, Tobermory, is 16 miles away, and has a choice of restaurants and other amenities.

Loved feeding the birds, so many and different species came.Salen for shopping at the Spar was great and such friendly staff. Our holiday was so wonderful and relaxing we have booked to come again next year. Thanks for your helpful local hints in your file. Sorry about the electrician - I just don't check my emails whilst on holiday! However, thankyou for everything.
